I remember 80% of the gameplay was mapping out your strategy and team. I wish they would come out with remasters of these classics.

I clicked on this video because I randomly thought of this game. I was 7 years old when it came out. I remember it for what it was. Right now as I type this I have the video paused at the very beginning Red Storm Entertainment logo. I contemplate pressing play. For in my mind the innocence of youth can recall the fond memories of what used to be.

Holy shit this game was brutal. Innocent me who just finished playing Goldeneye was DESTROYED by the AI in this game. Took me years to finally work up the nerve to beat it. Best part was having to whack RB with your left hand to reload. Really felt like you were initiating a mag change instead of just pressing a button with your thumb. I also used to crack myself up in the mission planning when the music was all intense and providing a sense of purpose as I made U-turns before the threat markers and drew dicks all over the place. I guess I haven't grown up much.

Still to this very day my most favourite videogame. Both Turok and Turok 2 on N64 are phenomenal. I'm not exactly up to speed with the opinions of most people regarding videogame ratings but in my opinion Turok2 is a very underrated game as far as lists containing greatest games ever goes.

I still to this day remember the very first time I ever played this game. I was sitting in my room by myself playing this game when my parents walked in and told me that my next door neighbors son was killed while serving on an LDS Mission. He was five years older than me but he had a younger sister the same age as me. We went to school together. No matter how much time goes by that’s all I’ll ever remember when playing or seeing this game.

In middle school when I finally beat this game, it was on n64 even though all my Time prior was on my ancient ps1 disk I got at a rental liquidation around 2005 for the home release time Frame of the 2nd movie. I loved it but couldn't beat it. Years later around the time of amazing Spiderman I finally got to chaos doc oc (carnage ock fight) and during the chase it froze. I tried everything but each time it happened. I was heartbroken. So much time and memories. Till this day still own it but I haven't played it since. I got the n64 game hastily at a nearby retro shop and beat it about 3 days late but it felt very muted. Still regardless of version a lovely game. I love equally with gba Ultimately, wii Spiderman 3, xbox Spiderman 2 and x-men mutant academy 2. I remember playing this on both the PC and N64 version. The N64 had an exclusive music track for the planning phase that had always stuck with me. I’ll always look it up and play it from time to time. It’s a shame that Red Storm didn’t give Saffire the opportunity to make Rouge Spear, especially when they create a superior port over the PSX version.
