I appreciate your comment. It is not mixed. This is just a reaction force calculation. Looking at it, the CoG is more near crane A, hence the weight in crane A is more than the crane B at 0 degree (horizontal orientation).

If I'm correct crane a and crane b are backwards compared to how the equation is wrote out

Yes. However, the outcome remains unchanged regardless of which part you start. Crane A to Crane B or vise versa

Am not sure but I think you have the equation mixed up around @1:17 you have the calculation of crane A as D2/DT,When it should be D1/DT....D2 is for Crane B and not Crane A

Why 4 lashing point in calculation instead of 2? As only two will give resist lateral movement.

Thanks for your information, if you allow me there is a mistake with your calculations. The cos & sine @ 45 degrees are the same So we must always multiply the WLL with Sine not 🚫 with Cos please do your calculation with another angle and you will see. For instance with Sin 60 > horizontal angle not included 12te × Sin 60 = 10.39te And if I missed out something with your calculations please reply to me.

  • @SimpleandBasicCalculation
