I was so shocked to see my cauliflower grow, one minute there was nothing there the next time I looked boom there it was, super chuffed that’s for sure. What a great find in that compost heap. I love standing on top of mine but tell myself I shouldn’t be tramping around at 72! That soil looks fabulous and will be great for mulching. and as for that long straight carrot you deserve applause for that! Have a good week, the sun is just around the corner

It is all about fun Jenna don’t fall down the rabbit hole of serious gardening 😂 just enjoy and grow 👍. WOW I have a few baby tiny cherry varieties but nothing on the big tomatoes 🍅 yet. It’s ridiculously enough been too hot and the flowers are dropping. 🤬🤬🤬’s are so cheeky come on daytime eating. Not a bad haul of taters and they are fresh 👍👍. Sometimes the best harvests are the self seeded. Great job guys have a fab week, Ali 🌞🇨🇦

@@myrustygarden exactly, I’d never take it too seriously otherwise I’d be super gutted if something didn’t work, it’s going to be a learning curve for a long time for me! I’ve had a few cherry toms that have finally turned red, never grown a yellow variety before and they are delish! Yeah the weather here is bouncing from one extreme to another at the minute it’s a pain in the tush. Hope you’re getting some good results even if your toms are being little rascals 😄

Aw bless you, that hail was fierce! I’ve been so frustrated by the weather here this weekend, it has bucketed down for the past 2 days! Finally got a dry hour to deadhead, tie up my sweet peas and tidy up the garden a bit, everything is so water logged though! Can we have the summer back now please? 😂

Your fence looks great ! Im thinking about doing one for my plot, but I didnt realse how expensive fence panels are! Have you just put wooden posts in to hold them? and if so are thry concreted in or just put in? Great video!

@@janiceh3995 if you’re referring to the one where my tomato plants are next to the red brick road that structure was there when I took over the plot, I don’t think it was cemented in as it’s a little rickety but I think that’s because it’s been there for many years 😅 Thank you I enjoyed making it! 😄

Your spot on there Jenna, years ago allotments were Intended for the poor so they could grow their own food. Economics have obviously changed as it is now cheaper to buy it from supermarkets. Its all about the growing though!

Your spot on there Jenna, years ago allotments were Intended for the poor so they could grow their own food. Economics have obviously changed as it is now cheaper to buy it from supermarkets. Its all about the growing though!
It really is cheaper to buy but if you get the bug to grow then money is no issue! Hahaha
Mine cost littleas every spare moment I used doing online surveys for Amazon vouchers and save seeds happy gardening Richardx
