🌸~Storytelling through flowery & poetic language~🌸
Welcome to my channel! I created 'Poetic Poison' to contribute to the much needed representation of Black people and stories in the 2D animated space; where we are placed in the spotlight of every story and are the driving forces of our own narratives.
Please consider subscribing to my channel and becoming a patron if you enjoy my content and would like to help fund future passion projects/films.
🌟 A GoFundMe is currently LIVE for my next, upcoming project, "The Baobab Tree". Check it out at the following link: www.gofundme.com/f/turn-the-baobab-tree-into-an-animated-short-film

Nice animation
This isn't poetry!
You are very talented and cant wait to see u in the oscars, stay on your path and may god guide this talent of yours.
When is this showing or where can I watch it?
Hi, thank you for taking an interest in my short film! Unfortunately, the full film has to remain off of the internet until all film festivals we have entered into/been selected for have ended. Edit for further clarification: I want to qualify for the Oscars (you have a 2-year window after your film completion year) so I cannot upload the film to KZread. However, whether we win or lose, the film will be free to view online once the 95th Oscars ceremony is over. My apologies for the long wait! I have big (slightly unrealistic) dreams and want to try my best to make it come true. 08/22/22 - The film has successfully been submitted to the Academy for review!! Now all that's left is to wait for the announcement of the Oscars Shortlist in December. Thank you all for your patience!
Is there someone in your life you wish you could see again? A life event or memory you wish you could relive? Or even an opportunity you wished you had taken? Comment down below! I'd love to hear your stories.
Amidst ongoing injustice(s) and the continued fight for a better quality of life here on Earth, what are some changes you would like to see - either in your own communities or in the world? Comment down below and start a discussion! I can't wait to hear how each of you would change the world. Many of you may even call for the same change. Important Edit/Note: For those who may have interpreted the story as the following, Death is NOT thanking nor impressed with the Black woman for getting killed/for her ""sAcRiFiCe""! Similar to people thanking George Floyd for his death and treating him as a martyr ... this is heinous. Black people should not have their trauma/deaths glorified as some "tragic necessity" for change (especially not when their lives were taken from them). The woman is not a martyr and the visualization of her death is present to merely show how she came to stand in-front of Death but is not WHY Death respects her. Her monologue is purposefully vague, as it relates to all the moments in her life where she stood up for others, stood strong in her beliefs, and was a resilient and caring individual. This is what is impressive to Death; her character. Thank you all for watching!
Is there a secret you just couldn't wait to share when you were a kid? Or is there something you were proud/boastful of that only you knew, just like Molly? Comment down below! I can't wait to hear about it.
Is your mom your best friend? What's your favorite memory, growing up, with your mom? Comment down below! I'd love to hear your inside jokes and touching stories.
What is your favorite memory of your Father? Or what is something that reminds you of your Dad? - a place, an object, a day, anything you can think of. Comment down below! I'd love to read your stories.
To piggy-back off of the Ars Poetica theme, what does poetry mean to you? To someone else you know? Comment down below and share your thoughts!

Hi I enjoy your stuff! Which software do you use for animation and editing?
Hi! I know I had already replied to your comment before but all of my responses were deleted when I switched my account over to business (whoops). But, just so others can know, I will always list the names of the software in the description. Take care!
