On this channel, I will be capturing my life on the road (the good and the bad), offering advice and tips for living on the road. Videos and vlogs that include fellow van lifers I meet along the way.

Hi Bruce, thanks for the videos. They are giving me more ideas. Love your shout out section. Good job!
Hey Bruce, thanks for sharing this! How has the steico held up? I've found some cheap near me so wondering about using it. Anything you'd do differently? Lottie
I remember the VW golf advert was always played when Pop Shop was on (Alex Jay). .
looking at getting one off these from Costco, does it come with floor underlay as doesn't mention it on website.
No horsin' around!!!!!
Who has had a bad reaction to this????
Do you know how the cabin has held up over the years? Also what size was this one? Thanks :)
It’s still very strong. Will “feed” the wood before summer but it’s still strong and used regularly. There were some settlement adjustments needing to be made in the first 6 months but is now great. 3Mx4M with a flat roof less than the height required for plans.
@@BruceLauderdale thank you. Exactly the size I was looking at.
5:55 Added flat aluminum pieces for extra strength at corners.
Loved this - does anybody remember what advert was "A bee! What a good sign"
Hi Bruce, coming over from Liam hope to see more from your channel! Cheers, Albert
Thank you. I’ll try! But no promises atm. 🙏🏻
Hi what are the clips called for the insulation
I’m really not sure, they came with the cabin. Looking on their website, they do refer to them as “their unique design insulation clips” - Maybe give them a call!
@@BruceLauderdale cheers
I like these cher genre Muffin Man, i love it
14 ga unistrut???
Dunno in gauge. But the thickness I used was 2.5mm
😂😂😂
Going to have that tune in my head now for days you bugger!
Do you know the muffin man…
♥️
Hi Bruce, how is the shed quality after 2 years?
It’s great. I’m going to be doing some wood treatment in the next few weeks. But the quality is really good. The windows will be tbd first part to give in, in the future as they seem to be the weakest parts of the design. But overall very happy!
Anyone remember an add with a horned character in a swing, I think it was aero bubbles
don't know about worst that can happen tho if it does not resolve next step: make certain nothing is up with heart/lungs or metro pulmonary/cardiothoractic region. that can be a first place pain shows up. then, once you've established that there is no immediate emergency, also: mri + chiropractic to see what might be going on in the back area. a pinched or pressed upon nerve can absolutlely cause that kind of pain too. go for cause. not symptom. [about nine years after initial post: tho i post above for benefit of anyone else who shows up with this same question; please note: am no practicing professional of any kind]
Ive just installed this into a waffer thin steel 25 year old fiat and this stuff is insanely good. You can hear and feel the difference before and after...i used the 2mm pro N. Highly recommend it for doors roof tailgate rear quarters arches etc. Lovely thumk too when you close the doors and boot.....dont buy the cheap stuff. Buy dodomat.
How do I get a juicy Brucie.? 😋 I cannot believe I just said that
Oh once you try a Juicy Brucie you’ll feel the difference! 🤣🤣🤣 - There’s a reason I called it that 🤣🤣 if you go to my website it’s on there… www.brucelauderdale.com

@@karenclark-stapleton8107 ooh Thank you! You’re about to get Juiced 😂
Thank you very much for a thorough test and review.
Hi Bruce, did you use the heavey duty 2.5mm or light duty 1.6mm unistrut.
Hi Paul, I used the 2.5mm x 21mm profile. If I were going to do it again. I then put 35mm aluminium square tubing across. I chose 35mm because it was the same as the solar panels.
I think if you are going to brace it with cross roof members, 1.6mm will probably be sufficient.
Thank you a nice trip down memory lane
Great video, I’m waiting for my unistrut to arrive, What size threaded bar did you use?
Thank you. I used M10
@@BruceLauderdale brilliant, I put mine on the other day using this method, super happy with how sturdy it all is, I also used nylon locking nuts for piece of mind
How many adverts featured Black participants? I counted 2, and only in a minor role. Jump to 2022 and flip the Black/White ratio. Guess where the collective money is?
you should go back
Where?
hi, great work! I really enjoyed the video. I am thinking on buying the same log cabin to use as an office but I am not sure if it might be a bit dark inside, it won't have any direct sunlight in the winter, how light is it inside?
The person I built it for uses it as an art studio. So there is enough day light coming in through the two front windows and glass pane door. I would say look at the path of the sun and see if you can put the windows in the path of most of the sun.
I remember them all because the maid used to stop and watch them and then my mother would get angry and whack her and tell her to get back to work. Oh man, that was so funny. My friends they were the good old days. 😂.
Ah the '80s in SA. When the ad industry believed black people didn't exist.
Can’t wait to see you on the pole 😎
Not gonna happen 😂😂😂

I wasn’t ready for the music 😂😂😂😂
May u give details about your camera, thank you
I can’t remember the settings, but Sony A7iii
Good heavens, where did you find these? I remember them all, especially the ad that made us all fall in love with the CitiGolf😂 Neil McCarthy was still a laaitie in the Mentadent P ad🙈 And the Morkels lady🤣 What a wow!
Except for Frisco and Koffiehuis I didn’t know any of the products. Ironically Dave recalled a few images that must have been on UK TV in the 80’s. 😂
Lol lol lol!!
I hope you've all realised the difference between Sound Suppression and Sound Absorption. Sure you've eliminated reverb from the side panels, but also contained reverb from the roof and floor. It will sound quieter outside, but you may have actually increased it internally. Do the same to floor and ceiling for an all round 10-20% drop in acoustic reverb.
Another good one, when you said a wall I thought you were balancing on one. Good job though 👍
Thank you
Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit 🤣🤣🤣. We are up for Mr and Mrs, perhaps at Stratford in early June?
Good times Thanks Brucie
Any updates on this? I'm thinking of buying one. Thanks
It’s still standing the same strength as they day we built it. I do think it needs some protection again this year before summer but great cabin!
I was looking for this joke... 😆
What he has done removed vibration in the panels, this means that the van no longer reverberates with sound waves from inside and outside the van, in other words the panels no longer wobble. If you want to kill the road noise you need something with mass to absorb and block the noise. So you need to down some 10mm mass loaded vinyl to block the noise on top of the anti vibration stuff. Also the make of tyres + suspension make a big difference in road noise. What he has done is the first step in sound deadening there needs to be more layers.
It’s much quieter now! So you’re spot on!
