THE Oceanside Guy

New to Sea-Doo? I'm sharing my 𝙎𝙚𝙖-𝘿𝙤𝙤 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙨, 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙠𝙞 & 𝘿𝙔𝙄'𝙨: 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙏𝙤 𝙑𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙤𝙨
Hoping to inspire you to do the same. Get off the couch! It's never too late.

My name is Deric. I have been a Sea-Doo Owner since February 2023. My first ever ride on a Sea-Doo was a 2020 GTI-170. I was instantly HOOKED! With NO experience and NO knowledge, I started researching to upgrade my Sea-Doo options.
Then BOOM! I found the 2023 Sea-Doo GTX-230. An amazing machine!

    Seems like people would be sucking up the mooring lines into their jetskis all the time. How deep is the water there? Seems like it would not be ideal to have to swim to shore all the time.

    From someone who rides only in Canada , why don’t you use the side attachment on the ski why the front one ? Would it really offset the line that much ?

  • @TheOceansideGuy
    @TheOceansideGuyКүн бұрын

    Great question. It puts too much pressure with the swell/ current. And with a rising tide it could pull the ski under if you were to clip to the side of the ski. The bow eyelet is designed for, anchoring and towing a ski. The bow eyelet is strong enough for those purposes. And you might have seen when the sand line is attached to the bow eyelet. It runs through smoothly, even if there is a carabiner attached. Hope that helps. Thanks for the question.

    Learned something at the invasive species inspection about these. The way they are built they likely cannot pass inspection if they come from a known body if water with banned invasive species. The panel joints pose a serious threat for harboring invasive species and cannot be effectively inspected or treated.

    I see someone mentioned anti-seize on the spark pug threads: 100% that. At least as important- your spark plug insertion method is vulnerable to cross threading and thread stripping. That spark plug socket is designed to retain a plug via friction. Insert plug into socket, insert extension into socket, then guide the plug into threaded hole and start insertion **by hand** before putting a wrench to it. 100% there's a torque setting for those plugs- use a torque wrench.
