Fear Mongering Eschatology is abusive. Get the Book "Victorious Eschatology" by Dr Harold R Eberle and Dr Martin Trench. They lean Partial Pretorist. If you watch people like Trey Smith, you realize we are now dealing with spiritual enemies. The spirit of Babylon and the Harlot. Read Revelation 17-19. We are turning a corner. THE BIBLE IS THE STORY of Yahweh's fulfilled plan of redemption given exclusively to ancient Israelites cursed with the Old Covenant law of sin and death and pertains to no one alive today, soteriologically nor eschatologically speaking. Here's more... IF YOU BELIEVE THE BIBLE, then you'd have to agree with Jesus in Matthew 15:24, that he only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. YOU'D HAVE TO AGREE WITH JESUS in Matthew 5:18, that no jot nor tittle of the (Old Covenant) law would pass away until the Old Covenant system, temple and people associated with it (what Jews referred to as "heaven and earth") passed away. YOU'D HAVE TO AGREE WITH HISTORY, that the Old Covenant system, temple and people associated with it passed away in AD 70. YOU'D HAVE TO AGREE WITH PAUL, who said in Romans 5:13, "Where there is no (Old Covenant) law, sin is not taken into account." This of course means that salvation was only needed by those who had sin taken into account, which was only ancient Israelites cursed with the Old Covenant law of sin and death, which is not us today. THE BITTER PILL OF TRUTH is that nobody has been saved nor redeemed for nearly two thousand years. The "church today" has been in a massive error; a complete hijacking of ancient Israel's exclusive and fulfilled redemptive narrative, the Bible. "BUT...BUT...I'M A GENTILE!" Are you? The "gentiles" Paul and the disciples were preaching to were either Greek converts to Judaism, or the elect diaspora, grafted-in descendants of the tribes of Israel who were dispersed among the nations. Through the ministry of the disciple's great commission, they were called out from the nations to again be a holy nation of kings and priests, sealed for the day of redemption, which only they lived to see. Nobody today is a "gentile" of that sort. Sixty-nine of seventy weeks reached unto "Messiah the Prince" (Dan. 9:25). Messiah means "anointed" and Christ was anointed by the Holy Spirit at his baptism (Matt. 3:16; Act 10:38), and subsequently went about His Messianic work. Consequently, the 483 years or 69 weeks reached to the baptism of Christ. The 490 years reach seven years farther than the 483 years, that is, to approximately A. D. 34. This was the end of the seventy weeks DETERMINED upon Daniel's people. The prophecy declares that "AFTER threescore and two weeks (which followed the preceding seven weeks, making 69 weeks in all) shall MESSIAH BE CUT OFF, BUT NOT FOR HIMSELF" (Dan. 9:26). This places the crucifixion of Christ WITHIN the 70th week. These weeks were all of them consecutive, the second followed the first, 70th the 69th. To say that the 70th week is separated from the 69th by this present evil age of some almost two thousand years period of time is to destroy the measurement of seventy weeks. Two things are said to occur AFTER the 69 weeks had expired. (1) The MESSIAH WOULD BE CUT OFF BUT NOT FOR HIMSELF (Dan. 9:26; Isa. 53.8). Consequently, the Messiah was cut off in the 70th week, because that week is AFTER the 69th. The Jews rejected their Messiah and filled up the cup of their iniquity (Acts 3:13- 15; I Thess. 2:15,16), and God has rejected them AS A NATION forever as the people of God in covenant relation to Him. They confirmed their rejection of Christ by stoning Stephen (Acts 7:51-60; 8:1-4), and subsequently the Gospel was sent to the Gentiles. (2) "And he shall CONFIRM the covenant with many for one week and cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease (Dan. 9:27). Moreover, it was during this last week that Christ did confirm His covenant with many according to Matthew 26:26-28. On this solemn occasion Christ instituted the most sacred of Christian ordinances, the Lord's Supper, saying, "This is My blood of THE NEW TESTAMENT (literally covenant), which is shed for MANY for the remission of sins" (Isaiah 53:11; Rom. 5:19; Heb. 10:15-18). The Scriptures nowhere introduces the idea of a covenant between the Jews and the Anti-Christ. When the Jews broke the OLD Covenant (see Jeremiah 31:31-33) then God purposed to make a new and lasting covenant with His people. past. Consequently, all the prophets refer to it and Daniel foretold that it would he RATIFIED in the 70th week of his prophecy (Heb. 8:7-10), which by the death and resurrection of Christ was brought into effect. To put it bluntly, on the cross Israel killed their husband, and now the Lord looks forward to his new bride, spiritual Israel.

After His victory," the angel said, "there will be one flock and one Shepherd. There will be no need for light. The Lamb of God will be the Light. There will be no sickness, no tears, and no deaths. There will only be eternal joy and God will be the ruler. There will be only one language. Only one song. And no need for a translator! ... And, Dumitru," he continued, "a word of warning. If you keep anything from the American people that you are told, I will punish you severely." "How will I know that this is for real -that it will really happen?" I asked. "As a sign that I have spoken to you, tomorrow before you wake, I will send someone to bring you a bed, and at noon I will send you a car and a bucket of honey. After which I will send someone to pay your rent." The next day someone brought Dumitru a bed, and at noon a car arrived with the bucket of honey. His rent was also paid, as God had promised him. When starting this talk, this chap presents some basic science and comes across all plausible. So I stuck at it and watched the entire clip. And gradually and gradually this talk just got worse and worse. By the end, I think this chap is just a dangerous crank. Sadly, there’s just so many of these “arguments from authority”, peddling their snake oil to attendees at the town fair. On the one hand, a form of light entertainment. On the other hand, a dangerous craft of manipulation.

The Lords been leading me out past 2 yrs. About 4 months ago it literally all just fell apart. Doing a study on the covenants and the the Seed* and Galatians, Hebrews Revelation all the scriptures that I had in the drawer being a dispy all came out and the puzzle was solved. God is amazing. How are you going with your premil friends? If you have any left? Mine said I had a doctrine of demons and we dont talk much now. Hard work sorting out all this. But I am so grateful instead of looking for the third temple waiting, or watching so I'm not left behind. I actually have so much more peace.

I would like to start by saying this sermon is blatantly against Romans 14. Me and my family were thinking of visiting this church after having a very difficult time with many churches in the past. I think after watching this "exhortation", we no longer plan on visiting. I have a challenge for Mr. Hicks this Christmas time... why don't you spend some time where Jesus would be spending His? Why don't you and your church take the money that you say we should all spend on more Christmas 'fluff' and go help the lost, broken, and sad people this Christmas? Isn't that what Christ would want us to do rather than "spoiling" ourselves with lavish decorations and 'extravagant' gifts?

Matthew 26:11 That would be the very next verse after yours in which Jesus clarifies that the REASON He allows it is because He knows that He is going to be leaving them and they will not have the chance to worship Him like this again. I understand the point that this sermon was trying to make, I just don't think it was made correctly. But I don't wanna get into an internet bashing session because I think one of the main problems with the church today is that we won't let go of simple things like how/if we should celebrate Christmas or not. 😅 I feel like I'm contributing to what I don't like so I'm gonna shut my mouth now. Maybe you are right and I'm just missing the point.

Larson, you seem a little too eager to run over the conscience of some brethren with your Christmas sleigh. I think its wiser to have a more nuanced view on Christmas celebrations. The Bible does not prescribe specific liturgical celebrations or festivals, including Christmas. Should we not respect our brethren who desire to base their practices and beliefs solely on the authority of the Bible? I think we can allow for the possibility of certain religious observances and celebrations if they are consistent with biblical principles and do not deviate from the core tenets of the Christian faith. However, we should also respect our brethren who choose not to celebrate Christmas without name calling. A pious lush is no better than a pious grinch.

No one was run over in the giving of this exhortation. :) Seriously though, there is a difference between calling out people who are being overly suspicious of anyone having a good time (and potentially unintentionally embracing an ancient heresy in the process) and condemning those who don't celebrate Christmas. This was clearly a calling out of the first group and not the later.

I’ve been a Christian for over 50 years, I lived on a New Age commune before I literally met Jesus while reading the Bible. I didn’t know a single Christian and my family were atheist. Over the past 50 years I watched as the church in the western world has almost disappeared as an influence on our society, the accepted understanding of “family” has been totally reconstructed, men have decided they can become women and can demand the people around them must agree this is a truth, moral standards have declined to the point that our culture now resembles the culture of Corinth in the early church, lawlessness is abounding, the Jews are regathered in Israel in greater numbers so that there are now more there than any other place, thousands of Jews have recognised Jesus as their Messiah …….. I could go on and on. I think that although he seems to mean well this man has very selective vision. What if you’re wrong? What if God is calling us to be watchmen and we’re busy saying, “Nothing to see here?” I have had many miracles happen in my life, not the least of which was meeting the King of kings, and I believe He will reign on the throne of David on the earth (Lk 1:32). We aren’t all date setters, but many have discerned the times and are watching and waiting (Mk 13:33).

I have read secular source history from the 1st century and there were men dressing up as women then too. Maybe they just didn’t have surgery. But some sacrificed their children, some used big swords to chop people up. So…. Death and destruction and craziness has been around since the beginning because of sin.

There is no such thing as “replacement theology.” The Bible makes it clear that ethnic Jews are always God’s people. Some believed and remain true Jews. Others rejected Jesus and are branded broken off the tree of Israel. Gentiles who believed are grafted to the tree of Israel. It is still Israel. The simplest way to prove that Rapture does not predate Darby or the Plymouth Brethren church, is the admission of the Plymouth Brethren church today in their own words: "A number of doctrines that are now widely held within evangelical circles were first discovered by the Brethren (post 1830 AD) or were promoted and propagated by the Brethren. In no particular order these include: pre-tribulational rapture, dispensationalism" (Plymouth Brethren: Theological contributions of the Brethren: FAQ #16)

I mean no offense, but i have come to look at the "rapture Escatology" as the simple man's end times. It's the... just believe what you've heard without really looking into it. I know that there are many that have looked into it, and still somehow believe that, but i think the majority of believers that subscribe to that view do not really know why they believe it. Its easy, it's catchy, and it makes them feel special.

I was hoping this video guy would at least touch on Paul's Dispensation of Grace for the Gentiles, but he just went on as if it isn't a thing. @@praisethemosthigh8047 the main thing is, assuming you hold that the 7 years is the last “week” of the “70 weeks”… futurists teach 69 weeks of years happened in the ancient world, then God hit pause, and we’re waiting till He hits play again, whereas partial preterists teach 70 weeks is 70 weeks, and so the last, 70th, week of years happened right after the 69th, since that’s how counting works, and apparently it lines up pretty well with the siege and destruction of Jerusalem from about 63 to 70 AD. I’m not an expert in history so I won’t say for sure it lined up perfectly, but I am pretty sure 70 weeks of years is 490 years, NOT 2,444 years and counting. [edit: or it lined up with the crucifixion, I forget now, but… same point.]

If this chap was a REAL climate scientist (instead of a physics grad with an ideology and in need of some attention) he would be presenting all of this at a scientific meeting and contributing to the consensus. Instead he prefers to turn up at a Church meeting, present a few “pet ideas” and play petty politics. I guess this is what Americans mean by “free speech”. The freedom to bullshit an audience and feel important.
When starting this talk, this chap presents some basic science and comes across all plausible. So I stuck at it and watched the entire clip. And gradually and gradually this talk just got worse and worse. By the end, I think this chap is just a dangerous crank. Sadly, there’s just so many of these “arguments from authority”, peddling their snake oil to attendees at the town fair. On the one hand, a form of light entertainment. On the other hand, a dangerous craft of manipulation.

Teaching theology in a pub is not exactly “church in a bar.”
Left the dispensation mindset recently. Had never challenged it but when I did it fell apart…
The Lords been leading me out past 2 yrs. About 4 months ago it literally all just fell apart. Doing a study on the covenants and the the Seed* and Galatians, Hebrews Revelation all the scriptures that I had in the drawer being a dispy all came out and the puzzle was solved. God is amazing. How are you going with your premil friends? If you have any left? Mine said I had a doctrine of demons and we dont talk much now. Hard work sorting out all this. But I am so grateful instead of looking for the third temple waiting, or watching so I'm not left behind. I actually have so much more peace.
The world today is very different. For instance, humanity now has the ability to fulfill Jeremiah 25:32-33 though its own inventions.
I would like to start by saying this sermon is blatantly against Romans 14. Me and my family were thinking of visiting this church after having a very difficult time with many churches in the past. I think after watching this "exhortation", we no longer plan on visiting. I have a challenge for Mr. Hicks this Christmas time... why don't you spend some time where Jesus would be spending His? Why don't you and your church take the money that you say we should all spend on more Christmas 'fluff' and go help the lost, broken, and sad people this Christmas? Isn't that what Christ would want us to do rather than "spoiling" ourselves with lavish decorations and 'extravagant' gifts?

Matthew 26:11 That would be the very next verse after yours in which Jesus clarifies that the REASON He allows it is because He knows that He is going to be leaving them and they will not have the chance to worship Him like this again. I understand the point that this sermon was trying to make, I just don't think it was made correctly. But I don't wanna get into an internet bashing session because I think one of the main problems with the church today is that we won't let go of simple things like how/if we should celebrate Christmas or not. 😅 I feel like I'm contributing to what I don't like so I'm gonna shut my mouth now. Maybe you are right and I'm just missing the point.

@@jeffreyerwin3665that was referring to the great fire in Jerusalem Read War of the Jews by Josephus. You will learn many things from AD70 when the temple (old covernant) was destroyed and all genealogy burnt with it. And then new covenant arrived (new heaven and earth).

Larson, you seem a little too eager to run over the conscience of some brethren with your Christmas sleigh. I think its wiser to have a more nuanced view on Christmas celebrations. The Bible does not prescribe specific liturgical celebrations or festivals, including Christmas. Should we not respect our brethren who desire to base their practices and beliefs solely on the authority of the Bible? I think we can allow for the possibility of certain religious observances and celebrations if they are consistent with biblical principles and do not deviate from the core tenets of the Christian faith. However, we should also respect our brethren who choose not to celebrate Christmas without name calling. A pious lush is no better than a pious grinch.

No one was run over in the giving of this exhortation. :) Seriously though, there is a difference between calling out people who are being overly suspicious of anyone having a good time (and potentially unintentionally embracing an ancient heresy in the process) and condemning those who don't celebrate Christmas. This was clearly a calling out of the first group and not the later.

Gary claims that the world today is no different to any other time in church history. I’ve been a Christian for over 50 years, I lived on a New Age commune before I literally met Jesus while reading the Bible. I didn’t know a single Christian and my family were atheist. Over the past 50 years I watched as the church in the western world has almost disappeared as an influence on our society, the accepted understanding of “family” has been totally reconstructed, men have decided they can become women and can demand the people around them must agree this is a truth, moral standards have declined to the point that our culture now resembles the culture of Corinth in the early church, lawlessness is abounding, the Jews are regathered in Israel in greater numbers so that there are now more there than any other place, thousands of Jews have recognised Jesus as their Messiah …….. I could go on and on. I think that although he seems to mean well this man has very selective vision. What if you’re wrong? What if God is calling us to be watchmen and we’re busy saying, “Nothing to see here?” I have had many miracles happen in my life, not the least of which was meeting the King of kings, and I believe He will reign on the throne of David on the earth (Lk 1:32). We aren’t all date setters, but many have discerned the times and are watching and waiting (Mk 13:33).

I have read secular source history from the 1st century and there were men dressing up as women then too. Maybe they just didn’t have surgery. But some sacrificed their children, some used big swords to chop people up. So…. Death and destruction and craziness has been around since the beginning because of sin.

There is no such thing as “replacement theology.” The Bible makes it clear that ethnic Jews are always God’s people. Some believed and remain true Jews. Others rejected Jesus and are branded broken off the tree of Israel. Gentiles who believed are grafted to the tree of Israel. It is still Israel. The simplest way to prove that Rapture does not predate Darby or the Plymouth Brethren church, is the admission of the Plymouth Brethren church today in their own words: "A number of doctrines that are now widely held within evangelical circles were first discovered by the Brethren (post 1830 AD) or were promoted and propagated by the Brethren. In no particular order these include: pre-tribulational rapture, dispensationalism" (Plymouth Brethren: Theological contributions of the Brethren: FAQ #16)
Paul taught the pre-trib Rapture 1950 years ago: as did St Ephraim and numerous church fathers....1Th 1:10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

I mean no offense, but i have come to look at the "rapture Escatology" as the simple man's end times. It's the... just believe what you've heard without really looking into it. I know that there are many that have looked into it, and still somehow believe that, but i think the majority of believers that subscribe to that view do not really know why they believe it. Its easy, it's catchy, and it makes them feel special.

I was hoping this video guy would at least touch on Paul's Dispensation of Grace for the Gentiles, but he just went on as if it isn't a thing. Messiah means "anointed" and Christ was anointed by the Holy Spirit at his baptism (Matt. 3:16; Act 10:38), and subsequently went about His Messianic work. Consequently, the 483 years or 69 weeks reached to the baptism of Christ. The 490 years reach seven years farther than the 483 years, that is, to approximately A. D. 34. This was the end of the seventy weeks DETERMINED upon Daniel's people. The prophecy declares that "AFTER threescore and two weeks (which followed the preceding seven weeks, making 69 weeks in all) shall MESSIAH BE CUT OFF, BUT NOT FOR HIMSELF" (Dan. 9:26). This places the crucifixion of Christ WITHIN the 70th week. These weeks were all of them consecutive, the second followed the first, 70th the 69th. To say that the 70th week is separated from the 69th by this present evil age of some almost two thousand years period of time is to destroy the measurement of seventy weeks. Two things are said to occur AFTER the 69 weeks had expired. (1) The MESSIAH WOULD BE CUT OFF BUT NOT FOR HIMSELF (Dan. 9:26; Isa. 53.8). Consequently, the Messiah was cut off in the 70th week, because that week is AFTER the 69th. The Jews rejected their Messiah and filled up the cup of their iniquity (Acts 3:13- 15; I Thess. 2:15,16), and God has rejected them AS A NATION forever as the people of God in covenant relation to Him. They confirmed their rejection of Christ by stoning Stephen (Acts 7:51-60; 8:1-4), and subsequently the Gospel was sent to the Gentiles. (2) "And he shall CONFIRM the covenant with many for one week and cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease (Dan. 9:27). Moreover, it was during this last week that Christ did confirm His covenant with many according to Matthew 26:26-28. On this solemn occasion Christ instituted the most sacred of Christian ordinances, the Lord's Supper, saying, "This is My blood of THE NEW TESTAMENT (literally covenant), which is shed for MANY for the remission of sins" (Isaiah 53:11; Rom. 5:19; Heb. 10:15-18). The Scriptures nowhere introduces the idea of a covenant between the Jews and the Anti-Christ. When the Jews broke the OLD Covenant (see Jeremiah 31:31-33) then God purposed to make a new and lasting covenant with His people. past. Consequently, all the prophets refer to it and Daniel foretold that it would he RATIFIED in the 70th week of his prophecy (Heb. 8:7-10), which by the death and resurrection of Christ was brought into effect. To put it bluntly, on the cross Israel killed their husband, and now the Lord looks forward to his new bride, spiritual Israel.
@@praisethemosthigh8047 the main thing is, assuming you hold that the 7 years is the last “week” of the “70 weeks”… futurists teach 69 weeks of years happened in the ancient world, then God hit pause, and we’re waiting till He hits play again, whereas partial preterists teach 70 weeks is 70 weeks, and so the last, 70th, week of years happened right after the 69th, since that’s how counting works, and apparently it lines up pretty well with the siege and destruction of Jerusalem from about 63 to 70 AD. I’m not an expert in history so I won’t say for sure it lined up perfectly, but I am pretty sure 70 weeks of years is 490 years, NOT 2,444 years and counting. [edit: or it lined up with the crucifixion, I forget now, but… same point.]
