    If I was installing this on a single slope pergola how would I finish the face of the corrugation?

    Thing the fact no mention of prevailing wind and that the ridge section is open to wind gust and rain, shows this wasn’t the best idea for a show case video.

    Despite what it says DO NOT continuously overlap the sheets. You will get eaves creep so that after 4 sheets your eaves line will be about 30mm lower than the first sheet. I suggest you overlap and then underlap and repeat - that way you can maintain a straight eaves. If you decide to put them on battens / "purlins" you will need to think about how the tiles will lay on the barge board pieces. I had to notch the ends of my supports

    Yess your 100% rite , overlap and then underlap , it’s the only way , especially if your doing a long roof , a small roof like there showing on this video might be fine for just overlapping 👍

    This stuff is useless. The overlapping sequencing pulls it further away with each consecutve sheet until youre running downhill. Its as fragile as hell, warps and twists and has to be treated very gently, and its also compromised by the amount of screws going through it - not fit for purpose for anything bigger than a garden shed. Believe me, ive tried. And at over £20 a sheet this is no joke. AVOID

    See my comment about over / underlapping the sheets. I put a spot of silicone around the screw before finally driving it home. Yes, the sheets do flex a bit when handled, but ended up fine on the small roof I constructed over a flat concrete roof that needed the water kept off it. I used battens built up to support the sheets fixed along the line of the lower edge of the tiles. NOTE this means you need to increase the minimum slope angle if you do this.

    I'm considering putting this onto the roof of my gazebo but I'm not sure how I would be able to do this as the roof of my gazebo has 4 angles as it's rectangular in shape and pitched. If anyone can help me with how would best way to join the sheets at the corner/angles I would be very grateful.

    kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6icypRvnK3Ukrw.html is exactly what I was looking for (how to cut). Thanks for the tip of using WD40. One more question: Is there a top and bottom side (e.g. fabric side on top, smooth side on bottom) or is this neglectable?

    what fixings would I use for my garage with metal rood frames?

  • @ArielPlasticsLtd
    @ArielPlasticsLtd4 жыл бұрын

    Self-drilling hex head screws are readily available for metal (commonly known as Tek screws). There are two types, one for thin metal and one for thick metal, choose the one suitable for your roof frame. Combine these with a washer and cap to protect the screw from the weather and to seal to the corrugated sheet.

    Im looking at fitting some of this to a lean to/storage shed. Does it need a flat panel beneath it or can it be nailed directly to the joists?

  • @ArielPlasticsLtd
    @ArielPlasticsLtd4 жыл бұрын

    The Coroline sheets can be fixed directly to purlins running across the roof slope as long as the roof pitch is greater than 10°. The maximum purlin centres must be observed to reduce the risk of sagging; 5° - 10° roof pitch, full deck 10° - 15° roof pitch, 450mm maximum purlin centres. Greater than 15° roof pitch, 600mm maximum purlin centres. See Coroline installation guide for more information on www.arielplastics.com

    Thank you for the guide! I've now fitted these shingles to my roof and am delighted with the finish. They were surprisingly easy to fit and the detail strip proved to be a life saver for a clean finish. Anybody looking to order these shingles or any felt shingle, should certainly look online. There are so many great deals to be had, such as at www.roofingmegastore.co.uk/roofing-categories/pitched-roofing/roof-shingles/felt-shingles.html. Hope this helps!
