My name is Charles, I have been making knives and blacksmithing full time for almost 3 years! I was a hobby builder all throughout my younger years, all of that changed in 2017 when my wife suggested I make some garden knives for a craft fair she was vending. I made my first small batch of knives to sell at a fair full of herbs, balms, and salves. I sold one knife, much to my surprise I sold a few more online over the next few weeks. I began challenging myself to better craftsmanship, and more daring, and difficult designs. That is what I continue to do today. This is where you will see my personal challenges, and for fun builds! Let's make a knife!

This is incredible
Forging is fucking awesome!
that's... not men, that's just ND peeps, typically?
Indeed, after building a poker room with white leather cushions my boyfriend became a competitive dart player and bought a tree trunk to make epoxy tables
literally everyone does this not just men
Who
I think that’s just everyone. Everyone has interests and interests change lol

Speak for yourself and don't use a masochist's voice to speak for others.
I mean, you're not wrong, I got obsessed with Lego spontaneously. And then game development, and then law, art and music, and then suddenly gas masks and memes.
That is awesome.
Любой нормальный мужчина, должен иметь дома хотя бы одно копьё! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Is it ok to work with coin? some country it is not allowed

La ganzo señal
First Edit: I also like the video
This is exactly the video I was looking for. I have a question. Do you start with an over sized blank to get to the size you want in the end. I draw and design cool knives all the time I just having trouble finishing them the way I draw them.
I generally profile my blades a little oversized so I have bit extra when I grind off the scale and decarb after heat treat.
The anticipation for the upcoming raffle video has been building up for me
For the boys
I got my spot...wonder when the raffle starts?(I don't know if I was supposed to get a spot number...i got an order number though so I guess that could work)
I will post a master list of all the numbers in the drawing video, im also just doing them in the order the spots were bought

That is stupid awesome! Bone and antler are like most steels kryptonite! Nice demo! What steel is this?
This is 52100 at 60-61 HRC
@@CharlesJonesblades is that a high Rockwell for 52100? I'm not really familiar with it. BTW I had to show Scab from Choirboys cutlery this video I was so impressed. He loves big choppers I can't wait to see what he thinks. Real cool stuff though. Very impressive. Tomorrow I'll look more into your stuff. Thanks.
Its where I like a hard use blade for 52100, for something like a chef's knive I likt go for 64-65, for a sword I would aim for 58-59
@@CharlesJonesblades nice. Thank you!
For the boys!
? For?
Bringing it back
How’s that edge
Still sharp😉
How the hell has no one complimented you on your Rick & Morty tribute yet ? ? ? Well, a worthy impression guy. And a nice job overall. Hails from "Tweaker-city U.S.A." Arizona. 🌵😈🌵
That was a way better narration than any so-called blacksmith on Chinatube. Except Blackbeard, he just works. No yapping or trying to explain BS. Just simple sounds of his work.
Hahaha, that's feminism winning the crazy cat lady prize!
Metrocellulose = plastic. That why they're so combustible.
As a kid, we they used them as smoke granades. Whap a piece of ball, wrap into a paper, and light up a corner and blow of a flame. Tons of smoke ...
For those who don't know nitro cellulose is the same stuff gun powder is made of
To add to that: The difference is how nitrated they are.. nitrocellolouse like this is at around 11% nitration, while gunpowder grade nitrocellolouse is at around 13%.
Fun fact plastic is very flammable
