    If I wanted to glue tiny rhinestones onto a freshwater pearl, would E6000 be the way to go? Or 2-part epoxy?

  • @thecuriousgem-jewellerymak9546
    @thecuriousgem-jewellerymak954620 сағат бұрын

    Hi there! E6000 would likely be better than epoxy as it would be less harsh on the pearl's surface while still making the join secure. E6000 instructions recommend "Apply directly to surfaces to be bonded. NOTE: For non-porous surfaces, apply adhesive, mate surfaces together, pull apart for 5 minutes then re-mate surfaces. Remove air by squeezing them tightly together. Allow 24 hours for full cure." Hope this helps! You can buy the glue directly from The Curious Gem here: www.thecuriousgem.co.uk/glue/e6000-plus-glue-266ml.html

    Hi Charlotte, yes this glue should work for you. The packaging on the E6000 glue has some great instructions on how they recommend using it, they say, "Apply directly to surfaces to be bonded. NOTE: For non-porous surfaces, apply adhesive, mate surfaces together, pull apart for 5 minutes then re-mate surfaces. Remove air by squeezing them tightly together. Allow 24 hours for full cure." Hope this helps, you can buy the glue directly from The Curious Gem here: www.thecuriousgem.co.uk/glue/e6000-plus-glue-266ml.html

    You need to dampen and stretch the entire cord to prevent sagging later. Then only after it’s been completely dried, can you begin to bead. Adding the finding first also helps.

    Hi there, this video really is showcasing the knotter tool rather than how to make the whole bracelet. The beginning knot will really depend on the style of bracelet you would like to make and the closure you would like to use. It may be worth planning how you would like to create the bracelet (for example, a toggle closure, or adjustable knot) as this will then help you find a tutorial of how to start! We also have some excellent guide books on our website which you can find here: www.thecuriousgem.co.uk/books.html
