At the end of Genesis 1:5, God said ‘…there was evening and there was morning, the first day.’ How can there be evening and morning without the sun and the moon? This reflection by the reader further emphasizes that the light in Genesis 1:3 was not daylight as compared to the darkness of night. If that were to be the case, darkness would need to overcome the light and reappear as the result of the absence of daylight when the day passed to night. Then the light would have to reappear by the command of God the next day, just as it had originally. At no time between day one, Sunday, and day four, Wednesday, did God say that the light faded into darkness. Recall what John told us. The DARKNESS DID NOT OVERCOME THE LIGHT. John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. [ESV]
In Genesis 1:5, God named the light “day” and the darkness “night.” The apostle Paul explained this distinction further. “Light” a.k.a. “day” is Christ Jesus and “night” a.k.a. “darkness” is Satan and his evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:5 For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. [ESV] In Acts, God made clear that darkness is Satan, the power of Satan, and that light is God, Christ Jesus. Acts 26:17-18 ‘And I will rescue you from both your own people and the Gentiles. Yes, I am sending you to the Gentiles to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’ [NLT] In this quote from Jesus to Paul, it would be a mistake to deny Jesus who clearly said that darkness is another name for Satan. At the same time, He said that light is a name for God. In the early verses of Genesis chapter one, Darkness, the power of Satan, was overcome by light, God. From the very beginning of the Bible God demonstrated and explained His Grace and Mercy even in the face of rebellion and sin.
In Genesis 1:3, God introduced the light. One must ask, Did this light, which teachers may have told you was daylight, spread across all the deep waters around Earth? Did this presumed daylight only cover half of Earth as it does now at any point in time? In either case, a problem presents itself. Under the presumption that the light was daylight, there are only two possibilities. 1] This daylight covered all the deep waters which were everywhere. In this case, since light was now everywhere, darkness was no longer present. Darkness never exists in the presence of light. No separation would be needed because the light would have taken the place of darkness - everywhere. 2] The light, presumed to be daylight, was present on one side of Earth and darkness was on the other side, as it is today. They would have already been separate and not further separation would have been needed. Here is the problem. In either case, light and darkness could not and would not have existed together. So, if one contends that this light was daylight, why did God go on to tell us that He separated the light from the darkness? Genesis 1:4 And God saw that the light was good. Then He separated the light from the darkness. [NLT] If this light had been daylight, its mere presence at its introduction would have created a separation from the darkness. The answer is simple, and it is found in other parts of Scripture. The light of Genesis 1:3 was the light of the world, the Son of God. See the following: 1 Thessalonians 5:5, Acts 26:17-18.
In Genesis 1:4, God said He separated the light from the darkness. The two are in existential conflict. What the mind comprehends as darkness, cannot exist in the presence of light. Think of a dark room, a dark stadium, or a dark alley. All of those could be a little scary in the darkness. However, when the light is turned on, the darkness is immediately gone. The darkness does not leave slowly or gradually. It is instantly occupied when light illuminates the area. Think about what God said. Genesis 1:3-4 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. [KJV] When you carefully listen to God’s word, you realize that when God introduced the light, there was not an immediate absence of darkness as it happens in our metaphysical world. Instead, God took further action to separate the light from the darkness. If the darkness and the light mentioned here were what the mind perceives as darkness and light, then why would separation be needed? When light shines, darkness is instantly gone. That was not the case in Genesis 1:3. The answer is quite simple. The darkness in Genesis 1:4 is Satan, and the light is The Son of God, the light of the world.
So God is saying the moon makes it's own light.
Today is Mother's Day and I just got off work in a very busy popular restaurant. I'm so glad that I came across God's very great and precious promises to soothe and comfort me. Beautiful white snow blankets tall pine trees and everything is peaceful and calm as I meditate on the Word of God again and again. Thank you for all that you have done to bring us these. You have made a difference in my life and I thank God for you!!
"and there was evening, and there was morning -- the first day" -- you didn't explain this phrase. What does "evening" & "morning" mean? How do they comprise a "day" (which previous verse defines "day" at "light")? Many say this day is a 24-hour day, from evening to evening, with "evening" equal to sunset to sunrise (darkness) and sunrise to sunset (light). If that is so, then that violates previous verse's definition of "day" as equal to the period of "light".
End times are the end of the times we have been living in. The start of the new times, the world lives in. it is worth enduring and persevering through the times.
It is the spirit, and people are also receptive to the spirit. So may Agape, flow over our Nations. Interactions of those of the Sea, doing their jobs. etc. In Jesus Holy name. These prayers, we pray, for communications, between mankind. We are not given spirits of fear, that may cause some to make mistakes that seem to go on for many costly years, in people's lives, Nations. etc. May the spirit of agape love, hover over all troubled zones and people, air land, and sea. In Jesus Holy name, I pray, amen. I am not so sensitive, that a word should kill anyone, but, people live, learn, and grow, in grow, in the Blessed word, being blessed and blessing. Willingness to work out differences, for the many future generations to come, all wish to prepare a better life for. While also taking care of the lives, we have among us, now, in the appreciation and education of all that has been done for us, human beings. if people understood the magnitude of it all for nations, to nations. So much work done and so much more work to do. We cannot struggle with the decisions of our leaders, we continue on, as we are taught to do. God appoints leaders for reasons. They are God's reasons. Blessed revelations, mistakes they make we learn from. etc.
Everything is connected. May What is hovering over the Sea, be a spirit of love, fairness, understanding, for fellow human beings.
Everything God created is immensely amazing in consideration. Even every plant that still exists, today these days. For if God had not created them without seed, they would not still be here. That said, also, if we consider, what man covets. Anything is and everything, if people would consider, They covet, what God made. Originated, with God, and creation, or nothing would exist. In that, also, if the space station and those scientists would consider, when they get a little haughty, superficial, what even they have and are in the functioning, what it comes from to give even them this amazing life. To appreciate what they get to experience, not as God, but, as God first, who did the same and what they do? Why do they do what they do? See Genesis, 1:2. It is so amazing, and for those that can actually do that. All of the work and all of the studies, all of the incredible nature, of what they are in, they should look at it, stand back and look at the awesome immensity, of what they are in. So that brings me to the scriptures in Humbling. The book came into existence, before the first space station, the first anything, we know of the work, and what it took to build to that point. It's immensely amazing. You do not get to enjoy the immensity of it, if it is just taken for granted, without considering all that came before, the work toward it, and Where it begins. God is so amazing, so incredible, and the work toward that in man. If we consider any of it, how can not humble us? Even if one is very young, it is a point even at that time, to just consider the relevance. It is so amazing, but it is also very costly. We as people were created, but we also have, a limit, all of the past that started is gone from us, on earth at this time. That is another very humbling experience, to consider. or in my opinion. I understand the importance, but, I also understand the atoms down here, are and have made great contributions, while understanding much more in the monetary aspects, of what was created, following God. The Holy Spirit. All that, was God first, in consideration of creation. Now, to do my job, we are instructed to be humble, we are instructed we are not God, we create, we develop, as human beings, all of which, was God first. some greatly appreciate the incomes they make, which is a great thing in the pursuit of that profession. That is wonderful.. To have uncorrupted pride in it, and with the developments over the years, the environment of that profession. We know science got off track and began to separate from God, without consideration. It is my job, to first bring them back, to where they science, and all the work science has done, and where it science began. It is not a arguement, I am in no way hauty. Superficial, I am very humbled constantly, and in awe of much of it. The power has not eluded me, and consideration of myself, in comparison, I am very aware, I cannot lift the biggest created creature on the earth, all by myself. How small I am, I also understand the superficial nature, the funding, etc. The wisdom within, all things space, and the many departments, communications, and that without, how would life on this earth, ever survive? Possibly, better, in consideration of the expense. but the ignorance of the origins and the evil nature of man, what they do, to people that do realize, that can see the vast nature of all that was worked on, created, etc., and how they have no right, to take that from anyone, even their own selves. They laugh now, but they cannot deny, Genesis 1:2 and it is time to remind them, what came first in the question, the chicken or the egg? In truth, the chicken, created by God, is endowed with the egg. The ability to recreate, and continue, what God started, in consideration of anyone. That said, why not be Blessed, and love the creator? Be humbled, no one person is the entire space station or all of the work, that leads to where anyone today, is, in their measure of superficial attitudes, developed by sinful nature. The evidence is there, over two thousand years ago. Survive and learn. It really is worth it. It is with great honest, honorable pride, in each and everyone, capable of doing that type of work, those who have taken the stand and left the earth, they are incredible in my opinion in things, I could not by my nature, do. Other work, in math tests, etc. the immense beauty all of the work in space, provides, and the protection of people, the love is definitely lifted to the Heavens in appreciation, of all that is taken into consideration, but so too the hardships, the monetary aspects of all it, entails. If we are what we say we are, in the safety, and security, of our Nation and others. The love is definitely lifted but also, even beyond the space station. Consider many of the scientists, also endured, if their stories are accurate, a great deal of being picked on, so they should understand and not do the same to others. We do not do what we hate. Agape Love is what should flow, to and from, and is over and beyond in consideration. It is not a rebuke, but consider the reasons for the rainbow, in the sky, by God. For memory. Not the perverted version, the rainbow is seen as these days. And if science even truly knew the nature of the picking at and or on people, if they really ever went through anything for being nerds? etc they would not do that to other people, especially not those who love them. So I strongly request the means to suggest consider, the making of all that hovers, over the deep, here on earth. Not as an argument, We all trust, in the managers that keep us, safe, fed, and so on, at the mercy of that, especially in the space station, without any question, are those stationed for the benefit of the world. Chosen, without a doubt, without a mark, or on the backs of their fathers, to even be Blessed, with something so incredible. That must absolutely be capable, of being in those, classes before they even made the space station, and regardless of race, color, creed, or national origin, the blessed educations as the programs expand, in understanding and blessing globally. When I am down here on the ground, praying for those in the many departments, of the entirety of NASA or, the various companies. When I look up at the night sky, and wonder what they can see, vs. what I can see down here. It is so overwhelming in consideration, of the things I have not ever seen, that our incredibly truly awesome God, created. It must take great faith, Faith I can only imagine. So precious and Holy, how beautiful. I cannot see who and what is up there, or down here, or in the programs, but they do remain in my heart of hearts, in our thoughts and prayers, safety, and never suffer the possible horrors, they could suffer and what some movies have brought to our attention. So when they get so haughty, or superficial, that makes me sad, and I have to realize, what I must do, I must inform them, and then, I must remind them, of the truth, that brought them to life and living and that incredible over many years, extended work, we can only imagine, hardly grasp all that has been in it. Those who have given their lives in the lessons and learning of so much. The awe-inspiring, intellect that has brought us so far. How incredibly intelligent, that built so much, and all of the work on the way, to what we see these days, the accomplishments, etc. how incredible, how, immensely, wow, beyond my own comprehension is so incredible. How thankful I can be, for all they do, there are no words, or none are good enough to even come close, to appreciating so much. And it is not a face or person, the spirit, that it has always been, without question beyond the bickering the quarreling, questions, and uncertainties. beyond anything on earth or man-made in the Heavens. How precious and Blessed. I strongly request they consider, their origins, if they do not already. If they do, appreciate the nature of all that do. May God Bless, comfort, and guide, in a Holy Spirit, that is so true and so Blessed and not allow the spirit, to be diminished, in the very good objectives, of the same. and with God's rich and treasured patience of man, none actually deserve it. More importantly hardly consider the many sacrifices, toward the objective. The great and wonderful and Blessed Dream. If to even consider the ascending and descending. To and from the earth. The visions that are written. I know many are deceived. I know the cost. It was not funded, by any of the immorality. etc. and from the Ford Falcon's, to the many things called Falcon's. The work of Ford should be respected. There should not be deceptions, assumptions, misunderstandings, deceit, or spite, but a truer understanding that is so very necessary. People that are older, have been young before. They do or should understand, having been young. Youthful ways, vs. mature ways. As short as life is, take that into consideration also. It is a beautiful and wonderful thing. The higher intellect also has responsibilities as their part in society. May God Bless, comfort, and guide in Jesus's Holy name, without deception, or deceit, and may the Spirit of God, hover over those in the entire program and educate, all of their origins.

REVELATION 5:8 Jesus the ine mediator recieves the prayers of the saints that are offered to him. Saints are biblical and so is their intercession. The protestants "reformers" are not. Protestants skip over vast amounts of scripture and mislead many souls

God created in the day THEN came evening, then came the next day of the morning. That's how I see it. Exodus 16 shows when Moses gave the commandment to eat in the morning for "today is your Sabbath" Every other time mentioned in scripture when evening to evening was mentioned, those were specific annual feasts, not when a day starts or when 7th day Sabbath was to be observed.
It said in the first verse that he created Earth. So, the very next verse, you're saying Earth hadn't been created yet?

Ya that’s why I’m confused. I was searching something that goes more in depth about it not being the sun and moon. Do you have any sources I can use to go more in depth?
Either way it's wrong. Because if it isn't the moon it's still wrong because there is no light at night except the one the moon reflects.

My morning devotion had that scripture and i was looking for more understanding of "expanse" and "firmament". I had a Bible teacher many years ago explained with her hands the separation of the waters. Still not quite getting it so I will probably have to wait until Jesus comes back to fully grasp it. In flat earth theory God separates the water with a firmament. There is basically a sea above this earth and in the new earth to come, the Bible states there will be no more sea separating the earth below from heaven above. This is the sea the Bible states will be going away, not the seas on the earth
