  I always get the drink package 15 drinks is more than enough but if you're a hardcore Drinker on Port days go to the local bar and drink your fill

  Question for clarification: You're saying when I'm doing the math to calculate the cost of the cheers package, for my 7 night cruise, I do 70.74 X 6?

  No… well, maybe! 🙃 For most cruises, you would take the daily drink package rate times the number of nights of your cruise. So for a 7 night cruise, it would be $70.74 x 7. This can be kinda confusing because a 7 NIGHT cruise is actually 8 DAYS - but you aren’t charged for the drink package on the last day (disembarkation). HOWEVER, if your cruise is departing out of Texas, New York, or Virginia, then because of state laws you would pay for one day less. In this case, your 7-night cruise would be $70.74 x 6. BUT, if you get any drinks before 6 am of Day 2 on your cruise, you’ll be paying out of pocket. I hope that clarified things and didn’t just leave you more confused! 😀

  Thank you for the info. I searched and searched to see whether plain old water and brewed coffee are included. Your video and various other 3rd parties say yes! Believe it or not, I wasn't even able to get an answer when I called Princess themselves. Some of us do not drink much at all so it is very helpful to see what is included in the basic fare as well as the 2 non-alcohol packages.

  Yeah, I found that a bit weird too. At first I thought it was a same-country thing, but Heineken is from the Netherlands and MSC is based in Geneva. 🤷‍♀️

The last thing I’d want is to get stuck in the “Cruise News” box, but like I said I like a challenge so I guess I could just stop cruising for a few months like they do and have a friendly fight for the crown👑.   To be honest. This was tough but my first introduction into Cruise News was La Lida Loca. Just like the various Cruise Lines each has it's Pro's & Con's. I even like Don from Don's Family along with J&J Cruisin. There young and very exciting. I watch them ALL.

  I tune in for.Cruise news so I prefer less fluff. Jason gets it done- especially with important things in the industry- hurricanes, accidents etc. to learn about destinations etc then Tony. Since the question is news, JASON !!

  I regularly listen to these 2 and Tony gets my vote. Don seems to focus on the negative more than any other host. I listened to Jay for awhile, but something about him rubs me the wrong way. I do like Emma. And although his videos are short and sweet, I really like Doug's Cruise Radio.

  If we are carrying regular sized luggage (28 inch) and prefer to carry it on to the ship ourselves (Ruby Princess) will they fit in the scanners at the check in area?

  Unfortunately, no, I don’t think they’ll fit. We tried to carry on a 28” and a 26” suitcase, and we were told we had to check both of them. This was with with MSC out of Miami. It’s possible different ports or cruise lines will have different allowances. So you can try, but be prepared that it won’t work.
