This is about as close as any video I have seen that even comes close to the power and intensity of seeing Mountain Live. Luckily saw them about 4 times between 1969-1971. Every show AMAZING ! Long live Mountain - Leslie, Felix, and Corky. Me and my buddies wore the grooves out of that first album -- in particular "Blood of The Sun" and "Dreams of Milk and Honey." What a GREAT time to be rockin' !

Damn awesome. Im a guitarist and while i actually dislike the "fuzz" variant of distortion, it sounds amazing in the right hands. It works so well here and gives those chords that full rich low frequency tone that you really cant get from a common soft clipping overdrive or hard clipping distortion. I love this

One of the most intense 3 minutes in Rock N' Roll history. Maybe the first relative "grunge" songs?? And that bass, man, f'n rips!

Mountain was always such a paradox. How they could be sort of sloppy/all over the place one the one hand and yet tight as hell and in the groove on the other. Great band, sadly often overlooked. Leslie West flat out rocked.

I actually saw Leslie and Mountain in St. Louis in 1977ish they had cleaned up their sound and they killed . The show stopper however was a slow ballad called " Theme from an Imaginary Western " Leslie played the solo in that song note for note and brought the house down .

Lyrics 😊 Mississippi queen If you know what I mean Mississippi queen She taught me everything Went down around Vicksburg Around Louisiana way Lived the Cajun lady Aboard the Mississippi Queen You know she was a dancer She moved better on wine While the rest of them dudes were gettin' their kicks Boy, I beg your pardon, I was gettin' mine Mississippi queen If you know what I mean Mississippi queen She taught me everything This lady she asked me If I would be her man You know that I told her I'd do what I can To keep her lookin' pretty Buy her dresses that shine While the rest of them dudes were makin' their friends Boy, I beg your pardon, I was loosin' mine You know she was a dancer She moved better on wine While the rest of them dudes were gettin' their kicks Boy, I beg your pardon, I was gettin' mine Yeah, Mississippi queen
