I Fix Hearts by Dr. Ovadia

I Fix Hearts by Dr. Ovadia

He was a morbidly obese heart surgeon. (Yes, you read that right.)

Through high school, college, med school and surgical training, he followed the U.S. dietary guidelines for both diet and exercise. Yet nothing he did took the weight off.

Each day in the operating theater he would split open the chests of people just like himself.

He was heading for the operating table and knew he had to find solutions that worked.

In 2016, he finally found a way to lose 100 pounds and keep it off. Now - in addition to doing heart surgery - he helps people just like himself get healthy, lose the weight and keep it off.

Now, Dr. Philip Ovadia is a rebel M.D. who works against his own financial interests to keep people OFF his operating table.

You commented about a liver & kidney panel, but what other tests would there be? Is it just the enzyme levels?

I still don't understand why he thinks "net carbs" is a problem. Although fiber is a carbohydrate, it cannot be digested. How can this have any impact on the liver like he says ("tell that to your liver")?

Want EPA? Eat some fish. Wild caught sardines and salmon (red, my fave). That and cutting way down on carbs seems to help lower triglycerides best.

Is the carnivore diet safe for an elderly male who has had two heart attacks involving quintuple bypass surgery and then 3 stents? Heart attacks were a little over 5 years ago. I’ve been trying to do keto/carnivore diet and have been feeling pretty good. Neither my PCP nor my Cardiologist approve of my diet but like my lab work results

Excellent job Dr. O! I enjoyed participating with you in the group livestream last month during the HYH event, and I would love to have you on my channel for a carnivore conversation sometime! I understand you’re in Florida as well, so maybe a meat-up would be great too! 😎👍🏽🥩💧🧂💪🏽💯

I am convinced Cholesterol isn’t the enemy it’s definitely Triglycerides. I recently got mine down from 123 to 86. I’ve gone Keto and I feel better , cravings are gone and I hope to lower it some more.

You are lying in contrast to what God says - “Matthew 4:4 ESV - But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 6:11 ESV - Give us this day our daily bread, Ecclesiastes 9:7 ESV - Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.

I used to love carbs but they hated me. I finally learned that it was carb consumption that was keeping me ravenous even though I was eating plenty. Do much better since I mostly ditched them. Now eat keto and sometimes go carnivore for a few weeks at a time. No more hunger or cravings.

If we/ you follow Dr Eric Westman, who is a specialist in the field of weight management, he tells us that we should count Total carbs in a food, not net carbs. We must be honest about the amount of carbs we are consuming in order to lose weight and reverse Type 2 diabetes. He has recommended less than 20-50 total carbs to get into ketosis. I try not to purchase any products labeled Keto or have seed oils, wheat, rice ,or any sugar or corn syrup sweetener. I will occasionally make a special recipe from scratch using almond flour ( which has protein, fat and carbs), monk fruit sweetener, egg, but I count Total carbs for the portion I consume. A weight loss stall may occur if I consume too many Total carbs per day, so I stay vigilant. Many people in the Keto/ Carnivore community will say, Just eat carnivore and no carbs, fast daily. We must choose what works best for ourselves.
