@@Steve-qr2lm lots of people over 350hp. Most people will land below that (on pump gas) or above that (on E85). Also plenty of people have blown their motors on less than 350hp, because it depends on how you drive and how the tune delivers power. Hey mand awesome video! Quick question do you gain more HP with this setup? Did you remap the ECU? I'm thinking going Akra instead of Termi
@TylerSavin5 жыл бұрын
There is no map for the 2018 except Termignoni. With this setup, you don't need to remap though since there's no change in header. No real power gain, just better sound. Which in turn does make the bike feel more responsive. But that's it. Worth it in my opinion though. Soon a mechanic will be able to cuatim tune the bike with new headers, but as of now there is no way.

No issues with not having a cat on it?
@TylerSavin6 жыл бұрын
Joe Mussari there are no issues. I'm running this exhaust as recommended by Akropavic. No tune needed, because it connects to the bike after the servo valve, and there is no change to the header size. Once you change the headers, you replace the section that includes the servo valve. So not only do you lose mid-range without a tune, but the bike will throw a CEL and go into limp mode because it no longer detects a servo valve.
@joemussari14646 жыл бұрын
Ive been searching now for an exhaust for my 1200 monster and im really liking the akrapovic system. I will probably start with a slip on and then do the header pipe down the road. For a fraction of the price of a Termi system i think id rather have the akrapovic AND Ducati uses them on their GP bikes so why not, right?
@TylerSavin6 жыл бұрын
Joe Mussari yep that's what I have, just the slip on. You have to buy the linkage pipe with it, which isn't used once you go full headers. But there isn't an ECU flash besides the Termi one yet for the 2018. So unless you are also spending the money for a fuel controller and custom tune there's no way to get around the loss of power from going with headers as well.
@joemussari14646 жыл бұрын
Tyler Savin so you can run the slip on with no cat and not need a tune?
@TylerSavin6 жыл бұрын
Exactly. You don't need a tune for this exahust. You get the Akrapovic can, and the link pipe to connect to the stock headers. Basically everything that is silver in the video is what I replaced. It all connects right before the servo valve. Some people think just a slip on changes the performance of the bike, but physically it's not really doing anything besides making it louder. I took it in for 600 mile service and they just said, "it sounds great"

@TylerSavin6 жыл бұрын
MrBlack2max no it only said it in the instructions. The bike runs exactly the same as stock, there is no remap. The linkage pipe that you connect this exhaust to goes right after the servo valve. So there is no difference in air to fuel mixture. Sometimes I get pops, but stock does that too, just quietly so you never notice.
@MrBlack2max6 жыл бұрын
