  I'm taking music theory, and I'm 3 weeks in, and I have to memorize and be able to write all major keys on manuscript paper in 4 minutes... I know I'll get there eventually, but I'm not there right now mentally, so this video was very helpful thank you 😊

  If the key signature has one flat which can be either F Major or D Minor and If the music piece starts with the note D, BUT there is No Sharps on 7th or 6th & 7th Notes Then could we consider this as F Major?

  The sharps and flats are the reverse of each other. Easy way to remember the order is this. Sharps: F C G D A E B Flats: B E A D G C F

  If the formula for major scales is TTSTTTS then why for the G scale isn't Bb the third note?

  @Isabelle Yeah, and would rather use the Bb intead of repeating the A note again in the major scale.

  A good example would be an F# Major Chord. F#, A#, C#. To be a major triad, you need a Major 3rd. A# is the Major third above F#. The enharmonic, Bb, while sounding the same, would be some kind of 4th above F# (Some kind of F to some kind of B is some kind of 4th).
