    Lol classic hockey stick graph. We are legit at one of the lowest points on earth in terms of CO2 in the atmosphere. And we had ice ages with much more CO2 in the air. This whole climate scam is a joke, global cooling, global warming, now climate change. Ya’ll brainwashed.

    I love your video. Unfortunately while climate change is real it has become controversial. The climate change deniers remind me of those who rewrite history and science to prove the earth was created 6000 years ago

    This video is the unfortunate victim of itself. It may contain helpful information, but beginning with an inaccurate graph to push an agenda relieves the creator of something critical: credibility. Why the creator chose not to include the Roman Climactic Optimum, or the medieval warming period, might be because they had higher average temps than we have today over much of the planet. Surely this wouldn't be on purpose for a history professional...

    Some of your commentary seem to be treading too closely to the "ecological Indian" fallacy. Ancient cultivation methods were abandoned for a reason, usually because their yields are not sufficient for a much bigger population. They weren't necessarily better for the environment either; there have been several studies that found evidence that some ancient agriculture had deleterious effects on the local climate. I'm sure more evidence of this would be found if better researched. And modern plant agriculture has little impact on the global climate in comparison to industry and livestock agriculture, which were non-existent (for industry) or much lower volume (for livestock) in pre-modern times.

    Earth’s atmosphere is Nitrogen (N2) - 78.084% ,Oxygen (O2) - 20.9476%, Argon (Ar) - 0.934%, Carbon dioxide (CO2) 0.0314%. 75% of the 0.0314% is from natural causes. That means 0.007825% is man made. That is less than 8/1000 of 1 percent. The sky is falling………………

    The problem I have with climate change graphs is that the industrial revolution started in the 1750s but the uptick in temperatures clearly starts in the 1960s. Well I was in London in the 1960s and I remember the dense fog, freezing temperatures and mass fatalities - all due to particulate air pollution. Those years were ended, in London and around the world, by strict pollution controls, catalytic converters and the switch from domestic coal. Isn't the logical conclusion that removing particulates (and sulphur) is the primary cause of warming since the 60s, not the addition of CO2? Obviously I agree with cleaner air and with protecting sites of historic importance but the implications about long term climate change are very different. The main threat does not come from the atmosphere itself but from the destructive dependence of modern capitalism on endless growth in consumption.

    As Archaeologists jet-set the globe thinking they know The Story of Mankind when they don't even understand the climate change The Seven Sisters inflicted. The Lead Archaeologist, Lee Clare, told me with bullet points that there is no Row of Seven Birds under Pillar 18 of Gobekli Tepe! How many people have flown to that site and Archaeologists out right lie about the message told in the monument?

Without aliens we would learn nothing. Where are these ancient aliens who visited our planet to mess with our DNA and turn us into humans? Afro man ... Von Daniken ... Beard nerd ... .... Proof of ancient astrounaut theory? ...😂😂😂

    Archeology themed nursery should be doable once you step outside the box just a little. Hear me out. First is something like a nautical themed wall paper festooned in drawings of 'nautical artifacts', each an item you can explain to your daughter as she grows. Other wallpapers could apply as well (botanicals, architecturals et cetera... the old wall paper from Subway restaraunts in the 90s would be a good example). There is a lot of bathroom decor featuring ammonites and general beachy goodness. You don't have to make a bunch of custom toys, 'just' acquire a current representation of common toys from multiple cultures and time periods, and prepare yourself to teach the histories behind them. Childrens books in different languages too. Throw in some dinosaurs and maybe art from her parents personal heritages, et cetera. Now as this goes on the room become more ecclectic and diverse, exactly like the study of an archeology professor would be. On a personal note, I loved taking my son places for what I called Archeology Modernus, going to antique shops and such to specifically look for tools we did not know the use of and attempt to figure them out for ourselves before comparing our theories to the researchable truth. An excellent practice to remind yourself to both follow your gut but to also not put all of your stock in it at the same time.

There is a LOT of baby dinosaur stuff on the market that is already made and easy to get so taking the easy route on this one. Thanks for the suggestions!

    Always wanted to be an explorer and archaeologist. At 7 years old I began studying Rocks & Minerals books, then onto artifacts. I used to go out and hunt for arrowheads and civil war artifacts. I learned Latin and Old Norse because I was into the Roman Empire and the Vikingr. I really went stupid throughout Jr High and High School. Drinking and pot smoking, constant partying, dropped out of school, became a travelling musician. Now, here I am, 30 years old, no Diploma or GED, unable to get into college and do something to fix the years I wasted.

    21:40 Once you get what’s going on with this puzzle, it’s simple and logical (the last block is in the way of the first block, so you have to move it to create space for the first one), but the solution is not immediately obvious, so it has baffled many players. There are worse block-moving puzzles in Tomb Raider III and the Unfinished Business expansion to this game (the latter being optional, as it’s just to get a secret, but it’s an absolute pain if you do attempt it, as it involves moving blocks something like 20 times - even more if you make a mistake and shift the wrong block, push when you should have pulled or vice versa…) 31:54 There’s an Easter egg in the remastered Tomb Raider II which suggests that the fourth game is also due for a remaster. A lot of fans are hoping that the fifth and sixth games also get done, as the currently available versions have serious bugs in places.

    The Mayan info seems to be saying that in tribal life, females are too precious to be sacrificed. As for Graham Hancock, he belongs in the same dustbin as von Daniken, Lysenko, Q and the MAGA idiots.

  • @Inside_Archaeology
    @Inside_Archaeology14 күн бұрын

    What they were saying was that in this specific context/sample/site, it seems like the Maya were recreating a specific myth/ritual that is integral to their religion. This doesn't mean that at other places they didn't sacrifice girls, just that the overall narrative that they preferred to sacrifice virginal, young girls, is a very modern idea and this evidence clearly shows that it was more multifaceted than that.

  • @terenzo50
