    Miska, thank you so much for this in-depth research and explanation of the evolution of the understanding of cosmic chakras. I’m somewhat convinced that after hearing your information and putting it together with my own feelings, it seems likely that there is no way to adequately describe the makeup of the material universe. I personally subscribe to most ancient Hindu teachings as possibly the oldest and wisest that we have so far discovered on our planet. My understanding of the chakras has always involved a physical as well as spiritual energy that we can sense on the physical level through our connection with the Devine. If anything, your explanation deepens that understanding for me. Attempting to describe things of spiritual origin in the material world is extremely difficult and languages are essentially inadequate. You’ve done a great service explaining the historical context. One thing I noticed in your video was your depiction of a Tantric practice. Peering through my modern day filter and using my fair amount of knowledge of Tantric practices, when a connection between tantra and chakras is made it emphasizes the difficulty in explaining Consciousness with words. Tantra is practiced today as a physical journey with a spiritual center. Many people believe that sexual energy is the most powerful energy we can administer. I must admit that it is a very profound experience. However, physicality and spirit do not exist in the same realm yet they exist in us always. As you mentioned the variety in the number of chakras that you have found, that leads me to believe that there is no clear physical description of chakras, but an age-old attempt to discuss and elaborate on all that we are. Knowing is the important thing. Not talking, but knowing. Yet discussions such as this and this forum provided by you, is just so much fun. I thank you for that and look forward to hearing more of your viewpoint on subject matter such as this. It gives me great pleasure to know that I am not alone in this world and that there are many of us. Everywhere. One more thing. I don’t actually Know anything…🕉

    " There are chakras, but the number differs with each individual. One may have seven, one may have nine; one may have more, one may have less. That is the reason why so many different traditions have developed. Buddhists talk of nine chakras, Hindus talk of seven, Tibetans talk of four and they are all right! The root of kundalini, the passage through which kundalini passes, is also different with each individual. The more you go in, the more individual you are. For instance, in your body your face is the most individual part, and in the face the eyes are even more individual. Everything changes, but the eyes remain the same. Eyes are expressive of the inner world. But kundalini is still deeper. No theoretical knowledge is helpful. When you have some theoretical knowledge, you begin to impose it on yourself. You begin to visualize things to be the way you have been taught, but they may not correspond to your individual situation. Then much confusion is created. One has to feel the chakras, not know about them. You have to feel; you have to send feelers inside yourself. Only when you feel your chakras, and your kundalini and its passage, is it helpful; otherwise, it is not helpful. In fact, knowledge has been very destructive as far as the inner world is concerned. The more knowledge gained, the less the possibility of feeling the real, the authentic, things. All that is within is not necessarily real or true, because imagination is also within, dreams are also within. The mind has a faculty - a very powerful faculty - to dream, to create illusions, to project. That is why it is good to proceed in meditation completely unaware of kundalini, of chakras. If you stumble upon them, then it is good. You may come to feel something; only then, ask. You may begin to feel a chakra working, but let the feeling come first. You may feel energy rising up, but let the feeling come first. Do not imagine, do not think about it, do not make any intellectual effort to understand beforehand. No pre-notion is needed; not only is it not needed, it is positively harmful. One thing more: it is not necessary to pass through chakras. It is not necessary; one can just bypass them. It is also not necessary that you will feel kundalini before enlightenment. The phenomenon is very different from what you may think. Kundalini is not felt because it is rising; kundalini is only felt if you do not have a very clear passage. If the passage is completely clear-cut, then the energy flows but you cannot feel it. You feel it when there is something there that resists the flow. If the energy flows upward and you have blocks in the passage, only then do you feel it. So the person who feels more kundalini is really blocked: there are many blocks in the passage, so the kundalini cannot flow. When there is resistance, then the kundalini is felt. You cannot feel energy directly unless there is resistance. If kundalini moves and there are no blocks, then you will never feel any chakras. That is why someone may feel nine chakras, someone else may feel ten chakras, and someone else may feel only three or four, or one, or none. It depends. In actual fact, there are infinite chakras and at every movement, every step of the kundalini, a chakra is by the side to help. If the help is needed, it can be given. Meditation as such is not really concerned with kundalini at all. One has to go into meditation, then the energy begins to move. The part that is to be done by you is meditation. If you are deep in it, then the inner energy begins to move upward, and you will feel the change of flow. It will be felt in so many ways: even physiologically the change can be known. So be concerned with meditation and not with kundalini. And when you are aware, things will begin to happen in you. For the first time you will become aware of an inner world that is greater, vaster, more extensive than the universe; energies unknown, completely unknown, will begin to flow in you. Phenomena never heard of, never imagined or dreamed of, will begin to happen. But with each person they differ, so it is good not to talk about them. Only meditation is to be taught and to be listened to and to be understood. Then, everything else will just follow."

    Go read sath chakra nirupanam. It's literally everywhere in the hindu text. The sri vidya oupasak uses it. It's in the hatha yoga pradipika. Every form of youga, mantra or any other practise uses it. Its literally everywhere, it's said that knowingly or unknowingly the kundalini awakens if a person gets enlightment. It's even in the buddhist teachings. In one of the oldest text known to man kind called vigyan bhairaiv tantra concepts of chakra dharna can be found.

  • @miskakappi
    @miskakappi27 күн бұрын

    I have certainly read Sat-Chakra-Nirupana dozens of times. Few people even know that it is only one chapter of a larger volume on tattvas called Sri Tattva Chintamani. Most people read John Woodroffe's translation, but anyone highly educated in tantra understands that when that text talks about, say, Meru, it is not talking about the spine as Woodroffe translates it. This video does not make the point that chakras are not mentioned in tantric literature - they are indeed found there. But that they are rainbow-coloured, emotion-related energy centres in the body - that's a 20th century misunderstanding. Watch the full video on my channel - that will explain more.

    I can feel subtle energy and have felt the 'charkas' spin. the ancients surely conceptualized and felt these symbols as above embodied below. they did not think about the symbolic with same kind of structuralism on display here. I think it's pretty bone headed to think of it as merely metaphors for disembodied concepts.

  • @miskakappi
    @miskakappiАй бұрын

    There are for sure many things that can be felt in the body. Another question is if ancient yogis considered these feelings to be chakras. I'm working on a much longer work on Chakras. This was just a 5min intro. I can guarantee that my conclusion will not be "merely metaphors for disembodied concepts"!

    You are correct to some extent. The human body was used as a cosmic map where images in the night-sky was “placed” at different positions on the human body that is why you even have variations in the number of chakras. Later the idea was “mystified” as psychological prompts. Remember what you believe takes on some manifestations, it is like the placebo effect - someone tells you that something that looks like the real thing can produce certain effects and a certain number of people will experience what they were told.

    There are 1008 chakras per dimension that a person lives in, depending on their state of Atma. And whatever interpretation, chakra means wheel, not flower. The flower was a visual metaphor. I've practiced Hatha yoga for 50+ yrs and Siddha yoga (quantum mind yoga) for 45+ - albeit with only minimal Sanskrit knowledge. My father has practiced a combo of Hatha and Kriya for 70+ years. I consult the Akashic Records for answers, - where language doesn't matter. And the answer is that the chakras ARE energy meridians, each of which needs to allow energy to CIRCULATE. This might be why the term chakra (wheel) was used. So it's still an entirely valid model, despite your sources' claims to the contrary. The Akashic Records are the ultimate source .

    I've been wanting to learn the chakra concept, and have listened to many explanations that point to energy centers within the body...🤔.. I'm not sure if I meditate or not... and to me the explanations about energy centers seem to be more of a type of meditation practice rather than explanation of the concept of what the actual Chakra concept is... There's other Hindu concepts that didn't make sense until more recently from a video that had more thorough research on topic/interpretation.... Popular belief interpretation, makes mystery of things that your searching to understand..🤨 This video makes sense, and I'd like to hear more on this topic. Thank you Miska Kappi 🙏

    There are some truths in this video. I agree that there may be symbolism concerning the chakras and the cosmos. But they are also energy centers of our energetic bodies. And each energy center also corresponds to a physical organ or area in our bodies. Bringing back older perspectives is great, but that should not cancel out the "newer" teachings of the last century. In short you got some things right and other things wrong. The seven chakras are the major chakras. There are minor chakras as well which, are less talked about.

    👍🏾very true. the outer core tradition of Christianity has benefited the wider Gentile world, Apocalypse of Yohannah 11:6-11; but it has began to glitch because the West has totally disregarded the inner core which is that Messiakh's primary destiny was to deliver His oppressed people. Deuteronomy 18:15,18. Gospel of Yohannah 4:22. 👉🏾Leviticus 25:47-55 👉🏾 Exodus 23:9 👉🏾 Yeremiyah 34:12-20 👉🏾 Psalms 82: Thus you see today the metastasized moral decadence, racial apathy and materialistic self-centred complacency in modern, so called WoKe/ Progressive Christianity. Because they are revising the tradition of the prophets & apostles to death to suit some "new" ideals. 👉🏾 Yisaiyah 5:7 Failure to grasp the ancient essence. 🙌🏾 Barakha 🌾 Salema 🙏🏾 💯
