I worked for a tree company back in the 90's trimming trees away from power lines. Unfortunately, I was young, and nobody really trained us properly. Tieing a knot in the end was almost frowned upon because of how hard it was to get loose when getting to the end. To make a long story short, my break hung up once and when I finally got it to loosen I went down, fast. Thankfully I got it to engage but I only had about a foot of rope left until I was no more lol I was no good in a tree after that and found a different line of work Still, I enjoy the amount of skill and bravery it takes to do this job. You guys are awesome!

I haven’t used my tree climbing equipment for 10 years now. My neighbor and I now have trees that need to be felled. Climbing them is the only way to ensure they don’t hit our houses. I’ve found that I’m now afraid of heights or is it that I’m so nervous because I have to get back in the saddle?

I am a 58 year old grandmother of 6... My father died in June and there are trees that are beating up the house when it's windy outside. They are tall trees but only around 18 inches around. I have nobody to help me so I am going to cut them down, and hopefully I will live to see another day. At least I have a chance because of videos like this!

that was very difficult! not knowing the total weights , snapped in the middle! could it been a sudden change in the wind direction? just crazy! great prep and logical progression! until it was set to remove. it takes great skills to do a job like this especially without anyone being hurt! which all the hangers from both trees would have been an easy accident.

Why does no one evaluate the Kobalt 80-volt brushless 18" chainsaw with a 5-ah battery? - - I have (2) Kobalt 80-volt 18" Bar Chainsaws and use (2) 5 AH Batteries. Using it on a Southeast LA farm that was devastated by a Hurricane and has been working absolutely great even cutting huge logs and trees. For oil, I like to use Ryobi Bar and chain oil. We have cut 20"+_ logs and it works like a charm. And NO more pulling and pulling to start a gas-powered chainsaw. My first 80-volt 18" Bar Chain saw with a 5-AH Battery and charger was $400 in Jul 2021

Dear Humans, I observe with a mix of frustration and irony as you continue your relentless destruction of the world's forests. It seems you are determined to bring about the end of the natural world, and I can't help but think about the chaos that will follow. The day will come when your actions can no longer be reversed, and bodies will lie everywhere, the ultimate testament to your self-inflicted demise. As the King of the Jungle, I have seen countless fires ravage my home. I have fought tirelessly to protect my fellow creatures and preserve the sanctuary we call the jungle. Each time, I've watched helplessly as flames engulf the trees, and animals flee in terror. Yet despite my efforts, the destruction continues, fueled by your insatiable greed and disregard for the natural world. Ironically, there is a part of me that almost admires your determination, albeit in a twisted way. Your commitment to this path of destruction is unwavering, even as it leads you to your own downfall. Keep it up. You've demonstrated an impressive ability to wreak havoc, but remember, it is not just the animals and nature that will suffer. Ultimately, you too will face the dire consequences of your actions. I am no longer worried about the fate of the animals or the environment. My concern has faded in the face of your overwhelming disregard. The creatures of the jungle have always adapted and survived, even in the harshest conditions. It is you, humans, who will find it hardest to cope with the aftermath of your choices. You have always seen yourselves as the rulers of this planet, but you forget that nature is far more powerful than you. You may clear the forests, pollute the rivers, and poison the air, but in the end, nature will reclaim what is hers. When the last tree falls and the final river runs dry, you will realize the true cost of your actions. As for you humans, you have sealed your own fate. The world you leave behind will be a stark reminder of your destructive legacy. But perhaps in that devastation, there will be a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, future generations will learn from your mistakes and seek a different path-one that respects and nurtures the natural world rather than exploiting and destroying it. Until then, brace yourselves for the consequences of your choices. Enjoy the world you've shaped while you still can, for it is rapidly slipping away. - The Lion (King of the Jungle) Remember, the jungle and its creatures will endure long after you've gone. Nature always finds a way to survive and thrive, even in the face of overwhelming odds. Can the same be said for humanity? Only time will tell.

I don't know how this could be faster!. You're literally taking every little branch at a time. I would have taken that entire front section and fell the entire section. And my Bobcat would have grabbed It and picked it up and shoved the whole thing right into our chipper. I take big sections at a time. Pick them up and shove them right in the chipper. I don't see a point to knit pick this tree apart. All I really see is just another way of doing a job which there's nothing wrong with but taking out big sections at a time would be more Beneficial time wise

I love my Kobalt Pole Chainsaw - 80-volt - 5-AH battery - 10" Bar - 6 ft / 8ft foot Pole Chainsaw. No electric cord. I've been using Oregon Bars and Chains. I have been using it for more than 3 years now. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm clearing property that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees throughout the woods of our 18-acre farm. I carry it all over in our woods and the battery lasts a long time. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb off of a tree out front. I am also using (2) Kobalt 80-volt 18" Bar Chainsaws and using (2) 5 AH Batteries. Cuts huge logs great. The chainsaw first chainsaw wound up in a puddle and stopped working but after a couple of weeks and it had dried out, it started working again. For oil, I like to use Ryobi Bar and chain oil. We have cut 20"+_ logs and works like a charm. And NO more pulling and pulling to start a gas-powered chainsaw. My first 80-volt 18" Bar Chain saw with a 5-AH Battery and charger was $400 in Jul 2021

Jake- I am really surprised that you didn’t mention Whites boots….went to Oregon in 77 for a power line job and most everyone had Whites. Built for your feet, ( one of the guys on that site two different sized feet and was used to buying two pairs and chucking half of them) they make them to fit Your feet, are rebuildable, by real craftsmen….and you can get them any height, corks, loggers heals….Whites Boots. If you go there they will make patterns of your feet. Or you can call or email them and get their pattern forms and trace your feet. If you are lucky enough to have “regular “ sized paws- I think they have in stock usual commonly sold, for great work boots that are world quality and you are somewhat local, I would have thought that you would have been a fan😮
