One of my dearest friends was a massive RG fan....when he died, this was played at the church at the end of the service. I always think of my friend when i hear this - and chuckle at the RG blues bring blasted out in the Catholic church! 😅

It's the very take that was the basis of the album version - this very recording with musicians added on top (and struggling with Syd's timing). The solo recording is my favourite.

I really love you and I mean you the star above you, crystal blue Well, oh baby, my hairs on end about you... I wouldn't see you and I love to I fly above you, yes I do well, oh baby, my hairs on end about you... Floating, bumping, noses dodge a tooth the fins a luminous fangs all 'round the clown is dark below the boulders hiding all the sunlight's good for us 'Cause we're the fishes and all we do the move about is all we do well, oh baby, my hairs on end about you... This is amazing, i am so tone deaf but these chords are special, something is going on that i can't compute. Could somebody please explain the brightness and cubism of those chords that just entered my head? That was perfect.

Syd Barett was a talented, gifted young man. Unfortunately, he had the wrong friends. He hung out with junkies too much. Drug addiction is an illness. He founded Pink Floyd at the age of 19. At the age of 24, Syd Barett was a sick person. A real tragedy for the whole Barrett family. Nick Mason said: We ignored the problem!!! Syd was driven to a psychiatrist. But he didn't get out of the car 🚙 !! Psychiatry wasn't that advanced back then. There was a doctor in the Barrett family. He said: Everything is fine 🥴 Nothing is fine. When he made his solo albums, Syd was on the verge of schizophrenia!!! I'm interested in how Syd lived with his illness ??? Unfortunately, there are no more books in German....
