This is very debatable, of course. But if we consider the authoritarianism on the extreme left (which is going into the mainstream) and the authoritarianism on the extreme right (which is going into the mainstream too), then Huxley's views seem quite prescient. Also he hit the nail on the head: authoritarianism thrives when it is based upon happiness. Just observe how easy it was for Trump to manipulate people to donate millions to pay for his legal fees. Just imagine how easy it was for OAN, Fox News, Alex Jones' Infowars, and other such outlets to spread lies to the general public. Also note how easy it was for leftwing outlet to water down the truth and journalist standards to persuade people to believe their version of events. If you add to this the mind numbing effects of the smartphone, it becomes pretty clear that you can make people docile and submissive.

I grew up without a TV. I see propaganda everywhere. I see people who are consumed by media and pop culture and they’re impressively clueless about propaganda. It’s jolting to witness such profound naïveté.

Was Mike Wallace on fire? How behaviour has changed, and so has our freedom. Huxley for one, should be part of our educational system. Brilliant interview.

He predicted nothing.. you can only "predict" when your not directly knowledgeable or intertwined with the pre-planned undertaking of transforming the fishbowl into a dystopin realm of misery and manipulation. To actually tell people what the future holds, requires being a part of the mechanism that intends to bring about this scenario... so to me it's just a man speaking on what he already knows is in motion, and he himself is eager to see come to fruition by simply speaking it into existence in the subconscious minds of millions...

So honnored to serve on the aircraft carrier of his name sake. At the time i had no clue really about ww2 other than it happened. But now for the last five years or so I dove off into ww2 history. So many horrors but also so many acts of valor. It d take me a thousand lifetimes to do what this man has done. Well done Ike well done.

Centralized control, by centralized government will ALWAYS lead to this. The two party paradigm tricks statists into religiously voting for their favourite team, by decades of indoctrination through televised sports, which guarantees that the government will remain in control of our lives, regardless of which party wins the election, we always lose as individuals. Statism is the biggest religious death cult to ever exist, and EVERY voter is part of this cult. It’s this cult that keeps free men under the heels of the political parasites because of the religious voting mob.

Craig Ferguson was one of my favorite shows and Americans really have to applaud him for refusing to take table scraps from the network in return for political slander and propaganda, it was truly an entertaining show and haven't watched late night since him, Conan and Leno left for the same reasons, late night has a collection of bottom feeders now and nothing worth watching. 🤔🤪🇺🇲

In "The Sixties Papers," by Alber and Albert, an essay by the Weather Underground is titled, "Every Revolution Needs a Television Set." They claimed that they could use race images to subvert American society within a few years. Michael Jackson was a fulfillment of that, as were black sports heroes such as "Mohammad Alli" and OH Simpson, and Bill Cosby. The last two have direct histories the Revolutionaries must have loved.
