Backpacking adventures of a Gruncle of many and proud father of 2 amazing women. Visit the many trails of North Florida and beyond with and old guy walking in the woods.
Nice video-a good topic, and I like your counting system. I’ve had people pull over and offer me a cold drink or a ride. One woman asked why all these people with backpacks had been walking down the roadway in her area. In addition to rest stops, the other issue I plan for when road walking is dogs. Poles are helpful, but after I was attacked by a pair, I started carrying a small canister of spray.

Thanks for posting a video of the area - looks like a fun trip! How many miles is it in total to hike to the camping area and back out? Any bear sightings?
@grunclemike9824Ай бұрын
We only hiked about 5 miles back to the cars. There is also an 8+ mile option. For the night hike from camp it was about 4 miles out and back. Camp was only .2 from where we parked. We have never seen bears in Jennings but have seen scat. They are much more common about 10 miles south of toward Goldhead. Happy Trails!!!
