Would a F lens VR (via FTZII) combine with the IBIS in a Z7II? Thanks for your nice video!
@touristguy8722 сағат бұрын
I'll stop you at 05:35. The answer is no, you cannot process 3 images, especially not 3 raw images, and blend them so that the blend is just as good as the 1 image. Especially not over 5eV of DR. What you can do is just use the HDR blending (or any other HDR stacking & blending SW tool) and get something useful. But not as good as what you can get with one image. Because in taking 3 images, now you've created many opportunities for errors and distortion...for problems with any and every step of the blend. As opposed to just one. The camera is probably going to do a better job in the blend (not to mention in choosing the eV offset between the base exposures) than any 3rd-party tool will do. It will not do as good of a job as can be done with just one image. With the first being the requirement to limit the blend to the display (emissive) or print (reflective) DR. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fYeat8-TgcXIltY.html ...without even watching it first. Just from personal experience. www.nikonusa.com/learn-and-explore/c/tips-and-techniques/high-dynamic-range-photography this is recommended technique by Nikon and you still could get better results from just one image

The V1 Pro Pro F is not for Nikon cameras... you would need a V1Pro N (N for Nikon)

@@ShutterSpeak Thanks for the reply. The flash works perfectly on the Nikon, just not the high sync speed. I originally bought the flash for my fuji xt4...hence the V1pro F. So if I invest in the Pro N it will work if i use on board flash placed directly on the camera in high sync mode? Thanks :)

I think I like the quality of the 24-120 even if it's quite subtle. But I like reach. I'm not sure what I would need 200mm for tbh. Usually I'm at 600+ if I need to go long. What do others shoot in the 120-200 range? Can you get wildlife shots with some cropping or do you use it for long range street and architecture for example. If I'm not using my Telephoto lenses I'm usually using a 24-90 or something. My lust for a do it all lens is saying get the 24-200 but I dunno 😃
@ShutterSpeak10 күн бұрын
For me the 24-120 is my go to walk around, vacation, travel lens. Really I have found it can do almost everything I need in those situations.

@@ShutterSpeak yeah my most used lens up to now is the Olympus 12-45. That's a decent range I feel. But having just bought a Z5 I am looking at both these lenses. I'm thinking , will I really need the extra reach of the 24-200. I suppose the first time I see a squirrel or a close by heron I'll be wishing I could zoom to 200mm.
@jganun11 күн бұрын
Red is hot, blue is cold, and green is in the middle. Two images with grass and leaves, same camera, same aperture, but the 24-120 produces an image slightly brighter and warmer; green leaning towards yellow, while the darker image from the 24-200 is darker, and cooler/bluer. I'll take the 24-120 any day: smaller, constant aperture, sharper and warmer. Good review; it shows the kind of thing that makes our choice easy.

Hi, my brand new Viltrox 28mm f/1.8 has a slight movement when mounted on my Nikon Z6ii. I'm wondering if you have the same issue. The lens seems to function without any issues otherwise. I'm just paranoid that it doesn't appear securely mounted. All my Nikon Z lens (4 of them) mount without any movement whatsoever so I don't think it's my camera.

This tutorial is supposed to about HDR with Nikon cameras, but you show an example using DJI drone images. If you right click on Nikon Z bracketed images and Export to HDR Merge in Neo you get the images without the automatic lens correction, so you get horrendous barrel distortion. I'm looking for a way to fix this?? (if you export using Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments it only exports the first of the bracketed sequence, which is useless). Any ideas??
