Great video. I'm in the middle of having my '78 3 liter rebuilt. Where are you sending the fan on the 3.2 to be restored? I've had the fan and housing vapor blasted on my motor, and would like to send them out to be restored and Cerakoted. I'm in northern Cal. Thanks!

Having built my fair share of conventional engines, I lost count at the things I learned about Porsche's engines in this video. 7 main journals for 6 pistons? Is it any wonder Porsche can run up the RPM range and be so smooth and resilient? Had I known how beautifully designed these engines are, I would have had me one back in the day. Which would have invariably led me down a rewarding rabbit hole. Magnificent. Thank you for the video.

@@havasuporsche Agreed. Most conventional-engine builders are used to , "line up the dots" and that is that. Cam timing is not hard. Just has to be learned. And its the proper way to install a race cam in a conventional engine too.

At least there’s enough common sense to not put it on during summer when boating season is in full swing. I’ll give them credit for that. They should close the the river off for a day and have races from Topoc to Laughlin. Now that would be badass!!
