I think the reason so many people found this frustrating or upsetting is that the base game is relatively cozy and simple for a chill experience. I 100% the base game and the first DLC; I never felt frustrated, never used hints. It was very straightforward and felt like it melted my stress away. This DLC took way longer, I had to use almost all my hints. The 4 or more stars per puzzle added some frustration because you're trying to hold so many possibilities in your mind, not only the ones you've solved but the possibilities too. This DLC gave me stress. If you're going into this one thinking 'oh I want a chill cozy time' and then it's more puzzle-y and difficult - it can catch people off guard when in the wrong mindset. When I played for example, I wanted to just organize mostly and not think too much - I had to actually leave the game to do something else for a while until I was ready to play. Even then, like I said, I had to use a lot of hints and overall felt less satisfied by the end because it was just tiring. And like you mentioned, y'all are playing together and with chat - most people aren't. So I feel like it's a compounding issue. And some of the solutions aren't satisfactory in and of themselves - the ones that don't make sense.

I think part of it is because you two work together so you see things in very different ways than someone playing alone who can't process as a team.

The HR monitors don't show big jumps because a scare or tense moment only causes a small HR increase to prep the body for fight/flight. It's only during physical exertion that the heart needs to pump significantly more blood/oxygen to the muscles.

Towards the end of the video probably like 40 something minutes in, when they are up in the attic and find the steak. In the other room there is like a manikin and they like walked through the door and turned the corner and when I saw the manikin I jumped for some reason. I don't know why that was scary to me.

Evan’s house reminded me way too much of a dorm - all the same light wood, everything matching (because it was bought in bulk to save money), and then the college students brought in their fancy electronics to it but did nothing to really decorate. Katelyn’s had real character (even if it was missing a bed, ha)

Funny that they thought Carl (the robot) was okay when in reality they killed him with the second lever. Also surprised no one told them that "the poke things" is the healing system in this game.

i love how when your sanity goes down in the game, it goes down in real life, because you start frantically looking, and your brain makes up differences when there are none there, and you start remembering things wrong, or thinking you saw something, sometimes to the point where you miss the real anomalies because you're so paranoid
