Kind of surprised Legend of Dragoon wasnt on the list. Yea the combat is monotonous because the damage done is set. But the addition system and story were pretty great. Definitely deserves a prequel spin off or a remaster/remake. My only main complaint in the game is the difficulty in unlocking the optional boss, and the really weird difficulty ramps that seemed to disappear just as fast.

Fun fact: Actraiser was a SNES release title. Also, Yuzo Koshiro did the soundtrack for this game at the amazingly young age of 23 Nice list! I would include Super Metroid, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Donkey Kong Country, Chrono Trigger, and Uniracers.

Final Fantasy VI is still my all-time favorite game to this day, and I played it the year it came out in '94. I was only 5 at the time, but I had some help to understand the game, and it was the first RPG I ever beat on my own. Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, those are a couple other JRPG masterpieces on the console, and if you want another really good fighting game aside from the different versions of SF2, Fatal Fury 2 and Fatal Fury Special are solid games! Highly recommend them, if you ever get a chance to play them!

This list was funny in the sense that half of it i was like "oh not the worst but quite mediocre games (such as Daggerfall or Qiest 64) Then there was the " yea that game is terrible" (such as Fable and Arena) Then you suddenly dropped Fallout together with those low tier games and my mind just exploded.

Resident Evil and Silent Hill are two games I never got to play. My time spent with the PS1 was primary spent on platformers (and platformer like) games along with simulators and arcade style sims. I plan on checking some of these games out.

I expected Run Sabre to be on the list because of the footage in the intro. IMO Run Sabre is a hidden gem on the SNES. I agree with having Hagane on the list. Another hidden gem but it is balls hard and mega expensive so anyone wanting to check it out will have to emulate or get a repro. Fun fact: SNES Drunk totally debunked the Blockbuster exclusivity scam as to why the game is priced as it is on Ebay. No game is worth $1,300 CIB. I know, I know, why isn't The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past on the list? I know, it's on EVERYONE'S list. IMO it's one of the best videogames of all time. I can't think of anything wrong with it. It's the closest thing to a perfect videogame that I've ever seen or played.

Not sure how i missed out on "Armored Core" games out there. Going to have to check them games out! "Moto Cross Mania 2" is cool, but my favorite game with Moto in it is "Jet Moto" on the PS1. Namco on the PS1 came out swinging home runs with "Tekken 2" & "Soul Blade"! Another epic weapon game out there was, "Bushido Blade" where if you got hit in the arm that arm would just wiggle like a worm & be worthless. That was cool.

Great list! Here are my stand-outs: ActRaiser is an absolute MUST play! It spans genres, and is massively entertaining. Final Fantasy III is another must-play, but for nostalgia's sake, I'll take Final Fantasy II over its sequel. And Street Fighter II is just SO MUCH FUN.

While I was a Nintendo only guy, my friend down the street got a PS 1 when it first came out. I preferred spending approximately a year of my life on FF3 for the SNES, playing it over and over again, but my friend enjoyed kicking my butt in Tekken more.

I was 8 when the SNES came out so I gotta disagree with all this. When each game came out, it was literally the best they've ever done graphically and what not. But if I played these for the first time now I'd probably hate them too
I mean I DID play them as a kid for the most part, I just didn't own a SNES.
@Fortefyre I understand. We were lucky as shit to have one. As a third grader, I remember this second grader got one. We'd play at his place and loved it. I think my parents hated that shit and decided to buy us one too, for Christmas

Great list! Here are my stand-outs: ActRaiser is an absolute MUST play! It spans genres, and is massively entertaining. Final Fantasy III is another must-play, but for nostalgia's sake, I'll take Final Fantasy II over its sequel. And Street Fighter II is just SO MUCH FUN.

While I was a Nintendo only guy, my friend down the street got a PS 1 when it first came out. I preferred spending approximately a year of my life on FF3 for the SNES, playing it over and over again, but my friend enjoyed kicking my butt in Tekken more.
