less than 5 road miles from this, two cougars took 2 goats and several chickens in BROAD DAYLIGHT, over the span of 6 days, from within my son's back yard. They are probably the same "cubs". Considering my young grandchildren play in that backyard during the day, the 103lb male cat is now gone and hopefully the female will be next. It was taken from within the back yard with permission from ODFW. They did not seem vary wary of humans at all. Don't feed the cougars please.

Jude Hill well done! cougars near houses need to be removed. thank you for taking care of the problem. i live near there too and have pets.

Maybe you should pay for your neighbors goats.

I meant they are unsafe for pets and live stalk.

They are extremely wary of humans. I'm not aware of one attack in Oregon in the past 100 years, so while it does change your level of awareness while in the woods, they are not a problem. I would not want a trapper in here.

it is scary to know 3 cougars are around houses. do you plan on getting a state trapper out there?

Just got back from this area, encountered some massive fresh cougar paw prints in the snow. Too say the least I was frightened
