Silk.....yummy
@@gingermom12 I think it would work so well! Going to keep my eye out for the perfect fabric!
these pants look so comfy and gorgeous! You mentioned fancy pyjamas. I have some cotton flannel , I wonder if that work for actual pjs?
@@BruceNotAmused I don’t see why not!! As long as you like a high waist for pyjamas then these would work for sure. You could lower the waist easily too if you wanted a lower waist version
@@nhpatterns amazing! thanks <3
@@nhpatterns amazing! I just ordered it on your website <3
@@BruceNotAmused thank you! I hope you love it 🥰
thanks so much for sharing! i found your video super useful :)
But how hard do I have to hit the hammer? The spikes aren't bending
Such a great video and such a beautiful skirt. I would love to know how long this took to sew from start to finish... Thank you again...
Love the breakdown of your process, can’t wait to see how it turns out.
Thank you sooo much I'm new to sewing and this was informative you got a new subscriber, can you do a bustier with three parts cup next i really want to learn this style ❤
love your videos, always so informative <3
Thanks so much, so glad you like them 🥰
👌☺ It will awesome!
Thank you ☺️
Very clear video. What sort of fabric have you used here please? Also for the lining fabric.
The lemon fabric used here is a a linen/rayon mix and I used a lightweight cotton for the lining :)
Hi. I’ve just discovered your channel and enjoyed this tutorial. I’ve never heard that tip of changing the differential on the overlocker. I’m definitely going to try that. 😊
So glad you learned something new! ☺️
May I know how long this took
I’ve made so many of these by now so I’m pretty quick, but I can make one of these in about an hour and a half :)
Thank you so much for the free pattern...in my size and with easy clear instructions! It looks easy enough for me to do so am really excited. I don't have any stretch fabric so would like to/need to use non-stretch fabric in my stash....have you tried non-stretch? I'm a beginner sewist so not sure if I need to go up a size- hoping you have tried this. thanks for your help with this :) Another question: Is there finished measurements for each size? As I've found patterns can have different sizings so finished measurements (I was told) are the best way to go. Likely I am a size 20 Canadian thanks
No problem at all! I will have some more free patterns soon too :) Yes this pattern does have finished garment measurements, however please be aware these will be much bigger than the body as the garment needs ease in order to be oversized. I have a bit of info on this in the pattern. I haven't tried non stretch but the fabric I used isn't overly stretchy. I'd say you would probably be ok for the main body but you will need something stretchy for the neckline and cuffs. You could maybe cut on the bias for this though to create some stretch in your woven fabric!
@@nhpatterns Thank so much for your reply that helps. I look forward to your new patterns with non-stretch fabric. Thanks for the great tutorial and free pattern :)
Thank you so much sweety. I'm going to make this one once I reach the numbers in my savings then Imma buy myself a sewing machine. Keep inspiring❤🎉
@@ladadih1047 that’s great to hear! I hope you reach your savings amount soon and wishing you all the luck with it! ☺️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is the best scrunchy tutorial. Thank you so much. This is so much easier. I loveeee it❤. Can you make headband or more scrunchy model ❤❤.
So glad you like it! I will have a look and see what I can do! :)
Thank you for making this clear and easy to follow.
No problem at all, i'm glad it was helpful! :)
Very clear, thank you, do you do a tutorial for the fly please? X
I haven't got a specific fly tutorial but I do show how to do the fly on the Riviera trousers in my recent video. I'll look into doing a standalone video for this soon!
Hi, thank you for this tutorial. Is there any way you can make the modified version available for easy download?
What's the size of these eyelets?
I see! (This is certainly clearer than the first short I viewed on here! 🙂)
Oh wow that looked easy, thanks so much!
lovely its so cute
Thank you! 🥰
Beautiful dress
Thank you ☺️
Very helpful, thank you so much
When overlocking (before you installed the zipper) it doesn’t appear that you had your machine cut any fabric as it usually would. Am I seeing this correctly? I’ve never serged anything without having it cut a bit of the fabric off!
Yes! when you serge before sewing your seam, you are purely neatening the edge of the fabric so it doesn’t fray. If you serge off any of the fabric then you are eating into your seam allowance. This is the process for an open seam like the ones I’ve used here. If you’re overlocking a normal seam you can cut off excess fabric as your seam has already been sewn together ☺️
If you act fast this coffee spill can be washed off no?
Possibly yes! I was at my studio though, so didn’t think about it at the time. It all worked out in the end! :)
That remnant bundle looks fab! May I ask where you bought it?
Yes sorry I forgot to put it in the description! It’s from Isole Linen, a Lithuanian company :)
Thank you for guiding me through attaching a sweatshirt band , it was very helpful,. Ive' subscribed now and going to check out your other vids oh! and your free pattern I nearly forgot that .
No problem at all, so glad you liked the video! ☺️
I had 3 grommets installed in my polyester fabric belt to create more holes. The cloth is pulling away from the wrong side of the belt, I am afraid the grommet will fall out. The new grommets are 2/8" outside dimension, the originals were 3/8". If I buy 3/8" will this solve the problem?
I'm scared of this happening too if I cut the hole out instead of stretching it out
@@scuzifly You might want to practice on a scrap of the same type of fabric.
It should do! But if it’s too stretched I’d recommend sewing up the fabric to make it a bit smaller first and then insert your grommets. It needs to be just big enough to fit the grommet. You could also sew around the hole to give it a bit more structure to grip onto
@@nhpatterns Thank you, so far the grommets are still in place.
Always wanted to know how to do this. Thank you so much. Do you have a video of hie to draft a pattern. Gwen
Not yet, but hopefully I’ll be doing some pattern drafting videos in the future! :)
easy to follow, thank you
You're welcome! ☺️
love this bag! so cute with those fabric choices 😊
Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I just finished making a pants sloper for myself and was wondering how to make a pattern for slash pockets. This is perfect!!
No problem at all! I'm so glad you liked the tutorial! :)
Ty for not using thoose machine grommet thingies for this tutorial. This is the only one i found for the tools i got.
I'm making a shirt i saw at the store , that i don't want to pay a ton of money for
Will this pattern work for cotton fabrics
Yes it will work for most cotton fabrics! ☺️
Thanks for the pattern❤
You’re welcome 😊

Hey! Sorry I’ve only just seen this! Did you manage to get it to work or still struggling? Is your printer set to 100% scale? X
@@nhpatterns Hi I just printed it slightly smaller and it worked out great haha , looked really good x
Hi, is the pattern still available for purchase? The link does not work unfortunately.
sorry about that! I took the pattern down to develop it and extend the sizing but haven't got around to it yet. I've put it back up until I get the time to do it :)
@@nhpatterns Hello ! I am looking forward to sew these trousers. Is it going to be available again soon ? 😊

@@nhpatterns I've made two! Both turned out beautiful, waiting on new fabric for a third with a matching pair of shorts!
Thank you for this amazing tutorial!! I’m adding pleats to the front of the riviera trousers and am going to add the slash pockets too 😍🤗
Awesome! I’m so glad you found it helpful and hope your trousers went well! ☺️
Great video. I will be sure to get the PDF pattern!
Thank you, I hope you like it ☺️
Not hard to sew and a timeless piece
Thank you! I made a burdundy faux leather one too which is my absolute favourite, I wear it all the time!
Can’t see cause subscribe info blocking video!
Oh that’s strange, I haven’t put any subscribe info on this video so maybe that’s a KZread glitch 🤔
Thank you for the informative video! How long did it take for you to learn how to do pattern making? Also, you look like Mary Crowley from Downton Abbey haha 😃
Haha thank you! I do get told I look like her, but normally when I have my hair up! I learned during my fashion degree in 2013 and have been continuously learning ever since, I think it’s one of those skills you’re always developing! ☺️
