    Where can I find the intake valve and exhaust valve.

  • @jeremiahfiek5495
    @jeremiahfiek5495Күн бұрын

    smooth shiney ports dont flow faster/better than rough-ish ports. think golf balls. the word you were looking for is velocity or air speed or port energy. you want it to be fast in the intake and the intake port, BUT you want it to slow down JUST BEFORE going through the valve... so open the bowl area up and that will accomplish that. blend the larger bowl to the stock intake port and then try to have a radius on the short side if possible (bottom of port). you can also try to get a swirl effect so that more air/fuel gos through the valve seat on the short side. (MOST of the air/fuel will go through the far side of the valve toward the outside edge of the cylinder (if your ports are configured that way, the one in the video is not) also a good idea to blend or do a 3 angle valve job on the INTAKE VALVE SEAT and leave the exhaust seat at a stock 45°. this trick works especially well if you have a cam with a good bit of overlap. my comment wasnt intended to correct anything you did or didnt do, its more so for any viewers that might want more information. Not trying to be a know it all either... i didnt know all this stuff either until someone else told me.

    You DON'T have to disassemble the throttle handle. Just loosen the 2 T-28 screws that are deeply set into the handle. Leave the T-20 screws alone.

    My gcv170 honda starts fine, puts nice pressure out, but after about 30 seconds, it starts smoking. I changed the oil, made sure its the correct level, used a 10w30 and still smokes badly.

    Depends on color of smoke. Is it black or a light blue? Black would be a carb flooding issue or maybe a choke problem. Lighter blue is oil. Oil is a bit harder but could mean a plugged crank vent or head gasket is leaking

    Great video! RedMax is by far the best brand (along with oldschool Solo blowers) imo. Your video helped me replace the new throttle assembly; the throttle assembly that I replaced was malfunctioning because a friend must’ve forced the trigger too far one way or the other causing the throttle to stay wide open. Upon inspection, everything was in place: cable slot on handle, screws, throttle cable to top of carb, kill switch, etc. The throttle cable inside the black tube housing the cable was completely stuck, even after spraying cable lubricant thoroughly through the throttle cable. Has anyone ever had their throttle cable get stuck inside the black throttle cable covering it? If so, perhaps the correct answer can save someone else from having to replace the entire assembly as I did. 🤘🏻
