What is the music track?
The receptacle inside the hood wall is not code compliant. You need to hardwire the hood electrical connection. Think of it, how would you access the receptacle without taking the hood apart? Also the cheap flex duct piece is just cheap and sloppy sorry. You need at least a 26 gauge elbow there...
Code says nothing about hardwiring range hood. However, you're right about the elbow. It should be a rigid elbow connection.
Chris Montesinos The receptacle isn't compliant because the junction box is an in wall old work type box used as a surface mount. Hardwiring is a separate recommendation.
