This channel was created to share the trials and tribulations of my personal DIY motorbike projects in hopes that they will inspire and help others as they pursue projects of their own. Starting with my shed-built custom Ducati Monster 1200 project, we'll see where things go from here, but you can rest assured that all content you find here will be motorcycle related.

WD-40 will not damage the paint, or, clear coat, rather?
I don't think so, or at least hope not, nevertheless using WD-40 for cleaning the rests of glue seems enormously exaggerated for me. Ethyl alcohol is cheaper, more than enough and very effective for cleaning surfaces imo

Excellent videos, Pls show us the bike with the unit exhaust and how you like it. Another way to remove stickers is to live in Phoenix, they peel right off when it’s 105+*

I think it works like a double sided tape. You peel the backside off and there will be ashesive to stick it to the bike.

Transfer sheets are double-sided. You'll stick it to one side then peel off the backing to stick it back to the bike.

Just stumbled on your channel researching the unit garage exhaust. I am intrigued and looking forward to watching this build. Great production quality for the couple I have seen. Nice work and thanks for the content.
Did you complete the build? I’m considering buying the kit from unit garage. What’s your take on the kit so far?
Do you plan on running engine guards with that exhaust? What are the options? I have this exhaust and I'm trying to figure out the sleekest way to run some protection. It'll be taken on trails after all.
I installed the Hepco & Becker engine guards and they fit perfectly with this exhaust system. They also did an amazing job of protecting the bike during my trip to Baja where they were definitely put to the test.
@@ArrickMaurice Haha! Glad to hear you're using your bike the way you're supposed to. I told myself I would too, but it's just so beautiful and you don't want to ding it in any way. But I will definitely be going out into the desert . I shipped my bike from NYC recently and I'm currently just south of the Sahara. Appreciate the response! Gonna see if I can get the engine guards shipped here somehow! I was indeed looking at Hepco & Becker.

@@bwanaPele I really like it myself and would recommend it if you like the aesthetic, the exhaust and some of the cool features like the storage under the swing arm. The quality is great and the components are very durable. I put everything to the test in Baja as the bike took a beating and went down more than a few times. I’ve been meaning to get a video up of the full install, but just haven’t gotten around to it. There are a few learning lessons from the install that I’ll share when that video finally goes up. Most notably is that if you have a 2020+ Sled with a fuel gauge, you have a little extra work to do as the tank does not accommodate the fuel gauge and you’ll have to be okay with losing that functionality.

Well, how does she run? I love the videos and would love to know what you think of the exhaust. Just picked up a desert sled, “without an exhaust” and I need to quickly get something before I go deaf or killed by my neighbors. Cheers, and keep-’em coming.
Runs great! Would definitely recommend.
Dessert sled is my new dream bike but the low hanging exhaust betrays it's off-roading abilities and looks a little weird imo. This mod solves that.. nice work!
