Chief Elemure Ogunyemi was such a nice man. He was in New York City in December 2000. When he was about to return to Nigeria, I spoke with him about my desire to send him to my father in Nigeria, he was so excited and promised to deliver my message. Therefore, I bought some items such as shoes, t-shirts, night wears, and some other items and sent them to my late father. To my surprise, Chief Elemure personally took those items to my hometown and delivered them to my late father. My father was so happy to see the chief come to deliver those items by himself. Very sad enough, my father passed away barely two months after due to mysterious attacks perpetrated by his own blood. Immediately Chief Elemure heard about my father's sudden death, he was so devastated. He paid a condolence visit to my mother, and also called to sympathize with me. He narrated how wonderful my late father was during his visit to him. Chief said, baba was strong, friendly, lfull of life, happy, and looking hale and hearty. That my father even offered him palm-wine which he drank little out of it and baba encouraged him to take the left over back to Ado Ekiti, which he did with happiness. Following this sad news, Chief Elemure promised to come and sing for my late father during the funeral ceremony, a promise he fulfilled. Chief Elemure also promised to sing his best lyrics for my late father, but jokingly told me by saying, "dollar ni ma gba l'owo re" I assured chief not to worry about that. Myself and my other brother that came from abroad spent so much dollars for chief and he was so thankful. He sang all night long without looking back. The following morning, chief was so humbled and elated that he prostrated to me and siblings that it had been years ago that he experienced this kind of dollars raining on him. He promised to dedicate his upcoming album for our late father. A decision we later backed out of due to our late father's painful and sudden exit at his brightest time. My brother and I paid a "Thank you visit" to chief at his Ado Ekiti residence. I am very sure that, both chief and my late father must have reunited at the other end with much gratitude from my late father to chief for his outstanding performances at his funeral. May their loving souls continue to rest in perfect peace, amen.

Chief Elemure Ogunyemi my favorite musician especially this particular album fortunately one of his band was our tenant in Ado Ekiti. Oga Sunday Alagogo from Ayedun Ekiti that was mentioned in this album. I used to attend most of their shows both in Ado and Akure OSBC every Easter Fiesta. Chief played at my Dad final burial early 90s and that was my last encounter with Chief. RIP Chief Eleye Loogun.
