Sometimes I won't value myself enough to say no to my dad, because of fear of rejection but also fear that he won't be ok knowing I'm setting limits on how much I can support him in his old age. I'm trying to set limits, but not all I want all at once, as a strategy. It's better than not doing anything, and it's working. But I still have more work to do. It's hard, but I will suffer more in the end if I don't do anything (and he doesn't have to change it grow himself).

How can the video ensure it doesn’t oversimplify complex psychological issues? The video may oversimplify complex psychological issues. While it provides useful tips, it may not fully address deeper underlying causes of low self-esteem, such as trauma or chronic mental health issues, which require professional intervention. Why this video is too generalised? The advice given may not apply to everyone. Individuals have unique experiences and challenges, and a one-size-fits-all approach may not be effective for all viewers. What about external factors ? The video focuses on individual behavior and mindset but might not adequately consider external factors such as toxic work environments, abusive relationships, or societal pressures that can significantly impact self-worth. A biased perspective can create more harm than not razing awareness at all. Presenting information without acknowledging the complexity and diversity of individual experiences can lead to missinformation and potentially worsen viewers' situations if they follow advice that is not suitable for their specific circumstances.

I had to learn to slow down to get things done. I was overwhelming myself with all sorts of expectations and demands, most of them adopted from other people and society. Letting go helped a ton. That meditation book called 30 Days to Overcome Procrastination by Corin Devaso was a huge help for me.

Although a few points are acceptable, this video primarily conveys every expectation as an overexpectation. To provide a better understanding, I want to add my point of view. First of all its important to know the reasoning behind expectations and how some expectations are formed. We need to be aware of what are reasonable expectations and overexpectations. For example: a person purchasing an Android phone and wanting to install iOS apps has an unrealistic expectation. Here limited knowledge matters. person purchasing a low-end Android phone and expecting OnePlus features is an overexpectation. A person purchasing an iPhone and finding it has some OS bugs might feel disappointed and expect a new iPhone from the store owner. This is a reasonable expectation. Understanding what makes someone form an expectation is also important. For example: If one person wants to stop another person from talking to someone else, it is an overexpectation as long as no clear boundaries were set. What if the other person had set an expectation by saying things like "I behave this way only with you" or "I never talk to anyone else this closely," then the expectation could be seen as reasonable based on those cues. Consider another scenario: A person who helped someone expecting gratitude is reasonable. But if the person who received help creates rumors about the helper to diminish the help's significance and protect themselves from guilt and a false image, this is unreasonable and harmful. What do you expect in this scenario? We are humans, not robots or computer programs, to maintain expectations precisely.

My video is mostly based on expectations which are formed based on seeing something online, when most of it is not even true ….. and just being more realistic and practical than become disappointed!

6:20 My POV : self-awareness is a clear understanding of ourselves what we can do, our knowledge capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses. it not only builds self discipline but is also a key ingredient in handling criticism, crowd judgments, analyzing practicality vs fantasy while setting up goals, understanding the perspective of others thoughts vs our thoughts, and killing self doubt raised by others when we have reasonable and practical goals. it also conveys us others limited knowledge when we setup truly practical goals but seems impractical due to limited availability of sources the major key here is to be honest with ourselves by accepting failures and mistakes and having a clear idea of our strengths and weaknesses, knowledge capabilities. In my opinion Self cheating is inversely proportional to self awareness.

Yes I think it is a myth that Anyone At All has is figured out. People makes Choices and live with the results, good, bad, just ok, etc. it seems this way but when from a distance, people have nice cars, houses, maybe kids, vacations, high paying careers, but I'm sure they have just as many problems as me or least some difficult problems. I think that is just part of life. I agree, just keep at it, stay positive, and create a supportive environment. And be kind to yourself on your Journey, a work in progress. I know I feel discouraged, no matter now much money I make it seems life is still so expensive and I don't feel like I can live the level I imagine, and I see so many around me that seem to have so much more, at least on the outside. 80,000 (US) dollar cars everywhere I look, how do people afford that?? Plus a mortgage. And here I am in a studio and an "econobox" car and that's all I can do. It's tough. I'm mostly focused on my physical and mental health anyway, but still it's tough. I am just keeping a good attitude, I think this is your biggest point, have faith in your goals and don't compare them to others. Thank you
