Alan Watts explains what meditation is. He makes an important distinction between words, labels and symbols on the one hand and reality on the other hand, which can never be captured by any word or concept. Meditation can help us to contact to a reality beyond stories and words.

Alan Watts discusses how attention for the present moment can help to transform the relationship we have with activities. By getting more focused on the activity in the present moment, room for playfulness is created. In this way, we can can shift from a compulsatory, goal focused mindset when doing things, to a mindset that is characterised by autonomy and playfulness.

Therapist dr. Strong explains how he uses mindfulness in his treatments. He explains how suffering is often kept alive by learned patterns of reactivity. because we keep reacting in the same way to situations and circumstances, problems persist. Mindfulness can help to recognise automatic patterns of reacting and create a starting point for change.

Eckhart Tolle explains the power of regularly paying attention to our breathing. By paying attention to our breath, even when this is done for only a short period of time, can help us to make contact with the present moment again and step outside our thinking.

Very good, I particularly liked his bit about "stop running" (metaphor) at 3:14 - so true, we spend our whole lives running and seeing (and appreciating) less and less around us each time.
