Great tutorial. Thank you!
Thank you
Hello! I’m having issues where I have both my device and machine on the same internet but the machine name isn’t appearing when I try to connect. What could be causing this?
I would suggest calling your local Baby Lock dealer or Baby Lock for troubleshooting if your having issues with connecting.
How would you go about making a lining for these panels?
Very helpful. Thanks!
You're welcome!
Where do you purchase the scrape tape??
There is a link in the description for you to be able to purchase the scrap tape.
I have just recently found your KZread channel. I am enjoying watching you and learning new things, thank you!
You're welcome!
I really liked this video. I happened on this by chance and I’m glad I did. Perfect explanation, easy to follow and I really liked the go pro view.
Glad it helped!
This was so helpful. I feel very confident now knowing I can use my zipper foot to sew the piping. thank you.
Great, glad it helped!
Where were you when I was trying to finish my panel? I would have had fewer resewing to do
Beautiful. So clever, so simple, so make one. I think I am going to make a test one first on a smaller sample (I have some smallish zips hanging around) before I jump in. Thank you so much❤
You're so welcome, have fun!
Thank you for the video. I really love your clear explanation, I find them very helpful.
I'm struggling with how to finish the inside seams so they are finished and not raw edges. Any tips?
This particular pattern does not finish the edges, so here are some suggestions. 1) Use a serger to do the side seams. 2) Use bias tape binding for the edges 3) Use by annies foldover elastic for binding the edges 4) Create a separate lining that is separate from the bag and install it
This is the best video I have seen on the topic! Your tips about making the mitered corners are extremely helpful. Thank you.
You're so welcome, glad it helped!
I know this is 3 years old, but does the mat come with the dye cutter or purchased separate?
When you buy the cutting machine, it will come with a single mat, size varies by machine. When you buy dies, they do NOT come with a mat, it's a separate purchase, so you need to purchase the correct size mat for the die you are using. It is usually labeled on the bottom of the die package what size mat you need.
Awesome video…your explanations are understandable to the inexperienced…. Thank you ! ❤
One of my favorite videos. I watch it before I bind every time and still see something new. Today I realized that as well as I planned this out, I should have thought more about auditioning the backing fabric. I wound up piecing my backing. Ok. But I never thought about the pieced portion showing up as part of the binding. Haha. Oh well!
Glad it helped!

Oh my goodness, I wish I found this Video Tutorial earlier, it would have saved me a lot of heartache. I will come back to this Video for help. THANK YOU.
You're so welcome, glad it helped!
A natural yet thorough approach to circles. Excellent! ❤
Cannot find link or product for dynamic walking foot?
It is not listed online, you can give us a call at the store to order the foot 302-764-9033
Why does everyone in these sewing videos stomp the foot pedal and sew as fast as the machine will go? It’s really distracting and what are you trying to prove?
I've been trying to teach myself how to sew. I've watched videos, tutorials. This was such a blessing to FINALLY see why I can't cut well with my rotary cutter. Thank you so much for this video!
You're so welcome Cindy, glad it helped!
Fabulous tutorial!!! Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Thank you
You're welcome!
I’m glad my sergers have air threading!
Yes the air threading is fabulous!
I wish you would show your work as you do it. That helps to know what stitch at that time you’re talking about to follow what you’re doing. I just turned your channel on today. Informative but I would have like to have seen what you were doing. 😊
Thank you! I now have the confidence to tackle rulers.
Yes, absolutely, go for it!
She is so funny and made it simple to understand. Love it thanks!!!
You're so welcome Lauren!
Extremely motivational tutorial by a natural educator….❤
Thank you so much Pat!
Chock full of great tips and do’s and don’ts. Thank you for an excellent tutorial….❤
You're so welcome!
I did a peacock panel and I put black strips on every block. It looked like a cathedral window.
That's a great idea!
Excellent attachment for baby lock hemming Hope to see more baby lock sergers and embroidery machines in your videos. Thank you always enjoy your helpful videos.
Love all her patterns
I wish you did more videos and classes for coverstitch and garment sewing. I bought my Euphoria from you and I love it. I’m slowing learning through KZread videos.
I have been trying to do this, but horizontally with no success. My machine keeps displaying that the motif is going to be positioned vertically. I have a Bernina B880+. It stitched the markers to the right of the first motif, which is one that is on the machine. I have re-hooped and put the hoop back on. However, it thinks the second motif is below the first. I cannot find anything in the manual that shows how this is accomplished. Help please. Thank you! :-)
I would suggest contacting your Bernina dealer where you purchased your 880 from so they can do some troubleshooting with you over the phone or in person.
You are a fantastic tutor
Thank you!
I was trying to help my mom set hers up. When she goes to "Add" the machine to her database, nothing ever populates. Her laptop and machine (Babylock Vesta Embroidery) are connected to the same wifi. The database search eventually says "done" without ever finding anything. Any help would be appreciated.
I would suggest contacting her Baby Lock dealer where she purchased her machine from to see if they can walk you through some troubleshooting issues over the phone. Or contact Baby Lock directly for troubleshooting.
@@HayesSewingMachineCo lol that's what I told her to do!! Thanks
NOTE: Some people have been having an issue with not seeing their machine showing up on the Design Database Transfer even after following ALL of the instructions in the video. If that is the case, there may be too many wifi signal in the house and it's confusing the machine. Instead of hooking it up to your wifi, purchase a wireless router. Plug the wireless router near your machine, and using the password on the back, hook up both your machine and your computer to the wireless router. This seems to solve the issue and lets the machine connect to your computer program.
@@HayesSewingMachineCo thanks so much for following up with this!! I had facetimed her after my initial comment and basically made her start over everything from the start. We got it connected! Took a few tries but it eventually showed up. I will keep this in mind for future issues if we have them ☺️☺️ thanks for thinking of us!
@@Gooterslaw You're welcome!
Just bought this new machine! But I can’t seem to thread it so that the top sewing looks good, but the bottom under fabric looks right! What do I do??
This is such a great tutorial. I bought the pattern over a year ago and finally about to make one. This is fantastic and will take a lot of guesswork out of my first attempt. Thanks so much for all of this; you’re both fantastic! It’s like you planned it! 😂
So glad it helped!
I think you were referencing the quilting seam roller. Clover makes a couple of different kinds.
Great information, thank you 😊
You're welcome!
how big are the individual blocks?
They're approx 9". You can purchase the book at the link below hayessewing.commentsold.com/products/id/6328
thanks!
@@andreazams4995 You're welcome!
I must say, this has been the most helpful video! I haven't sewn in years and recently started sewing again. My biggest fear has been cutting straight. I bought a rotary cutter and a 6x24" ruler to help me. Thank you for showing me how to prep my fabric in such a clear and easy to understand manner! I see that this video is 2 years old but I hope you see my comment because you are a great teacher!
Glad it helped Joanne!
Excellent tutorial…. Fantastic demo…❤
Thank you so much!
A little too much blabbing before we got started. I like to get to it and i really dont care what you found in your drawers during covid but i forwarded this part to get moving.
That's the fabulous thing about videos, just fast forward to the part you want.
What is purpose of walking foot?
The walking foot is when you are sewing through multiple layers of fabric so that your fabric doesn't shift and pucker.
Awesome technique thank you
You're welcome Helen!
Wow, I was stuck on the straps, and this really helped me. It is my first bag, and I am glad I found this informative video. Thank you
You're so welcome, glad it helped!
Thanks so much for your tutorial. Maybe I missed how wide you cut your binding? 2 1/2 inches?
2-1/4"
