Why is there so much hate for the 3rd gen explorers?
Thank you for this. I was using this app a few years ago, had purchased the extras, but could not remember how to set everything up. This is great!
Hi there. Did I hear you say they have a warranty recall for this problem and does it cover the UK do you know? Mine is really bad. Roscoe 7 2021. Adam 👍
They are selling one near me, 4x4 manual, one owner.... 126k miles for 4500$ The outside is in perfect condition... pretty tempting.
That's an excellent idea and I think I will follow your lead. My Honda Element is a work horse (from everyday hauling of groceries, gardening tools and building supplies to snowboarding and mountain biking excursions). My biggest complaint is lack of anchor points, but you’ve inspired me. I see the appeal of installing the Unistrut upside down; it's a quick install with no additional hardware needed (great out of the box thinking). However, I think I will install it with the track exposed, then I can place anchor points in exact locations. Plus, that will allow me to move, remove or even swap out for a different type of anchor as my needs change (which in my case happens a lot). Unistrut is a perfect solution - Thanks!!!! FYI: If your'e instereted, this guy did a great video comparing Unistrut to L-Track kzread.info/dash/bejne/i4SYyJueppXIYbQ.html
Just about to do my trans cooler and am now going to include the fan. Thanks for showing how you did it!!!
On my tow vehicle, I had a transmission shop add an analog transmission temperature gauge on my dash (real time information).
Links please
Thanks for the clear instructions! Are you still able to turn the fog lights on and off with the turn stalk? Or are they always on?
My yellow fogs are still run from the stalk like factory.
@@HawkeyeSkunkWorks so this mod only affected another set of lights that you have?
@@AutoRevLife This only affected the fog lights
What’s the difference between a comp and sport. I just ordered the comp but I’m doubting if it was worth the extra $200
I believe its mainly the 1x drivetrain. Definitely worth it.
Can this be done without taking covers off ?
@@JH-bh5lm yes as long as it’s not leather
@@HawkeyeSkunkWorks brilliant thanks

12:31 time stamp negative from the car should go on the negative on the other voice coil.

I had this problem a few times, but your video helps me reset my air suspension. Especially the one with the wire and pumping up the brake.
glad i could help
I am going absolutely crazy troubleshooting the air suspension problem on a gx 470. Seemed to start at the same time as a brake problem on the rear driver side and can't ignore the fact that it may be related somehow.
Got me stumped
thanks for the heads up on this cover Im going to give it a try for my 4runner
Thanks homie
Ok, I tried literally everything in this video multiple times and nothing improved the problem of unforgiving rear suspension. I couldn't get the air lines disconnected. However, I JUST got them removed last night, did the OBD2 paperclip trick, drove it around the block a few times, then went to bed. The drive home from work today was probably the smoothest my GX has ever ridden since I've owned it. THANK YOU!!!!!
Glad I could help
I recently bought a used 15GX with about 58k miles. It has been serviced at the dealership till 20k miles ago. After watchinf GXBob's youtube video, I found it necessary to grease the driveshaft even though I have never found any symptom of lacking lubrication. Though I have had few experience with using the grease gun, I followed a KZread video to load it and made sure the grease flowed well before doing the job. Initially, I followed the guide to give each spider U-joint 5-6 pumps and each slip yoke 9-10 pumps, but I didn't see any old grease seep out the spider U-joint and no movement or sound on the slip yoke. I assumed the car hadn't been lubricated for too long so I gave each 5 more pumps. It ended up with giving each spider U-joint 9-10 pumps and each slip yoke 14-15 pumps but still found nothing. I stopped pumping more since I knew over-greasing slip joints can cause serious damage. Now I wonder if I can have any advice on what would be the next step... Am I supposed to continue to pump more till old grease seeps out of the spider u-joint and there is a move on the slip yoke? Or I just let it be and re-do the work after a few thousand miles? Or I should remove the grease fitting on the slip yoke, drive the car in the neighborhood, and let excessive grease come out just in case? Thanks so much in advance!
If you went from the frame to the tow hook mounts it should be pretty strong I'm probably going to do that on mine.
I have a 98 and I agree with a lot of your points. It’s narrow and nimble, making it perfect for trails and urban driving.
Pls do rear hub!!! Mine is shitballs...
You need to check my other videos 😉
As time went on, were you still OK with not using the silicone adhesive? I'm with you, I would rather not use that stuff in case I change my mind later.
It was fine all the way until the roll over 4 years ago.
@@HawkeyeSkunkWorks Thank you sir!
First, I agree with the thought process and have bypassed traction controll on several vehicles. However on the GX is that not why we got the 2nd start option? 2nd start should do the same thing as feathering throttle since it cuts power? Possibly reducing the agressiveness of traction controll?
Thats for use in Low range, off road.
Any updates on the Coverlay? An update video would be great. I’d like to see around all the edges like around the passenger vent and center console area and also the edges of the driver side areas.
It was great, up until the moment the car rolled over. Its still sitting in my rafters.
Hey thanks for your video on changing the dash in 2005 4Runner. I have a question about the 4th generation. What does that mean and does it affect the dash ordering? IE the mold shape or anything that would be different that the SR5 we have. Thank you from Terrell, TX we love Toyotas.
All the 4th gen dashes are the same
Wow!! It’s been riding a little rough since I bought it two years ago so I’ve never touched the ride adjustment…until yesterday. I didn’t hear the compressor and no measurable height difference with a measuring tape. But when I started driving all hell, broke loose! Meaning, the backend bounced violently up and down with even the slightest angulation in the road. I just watched video and I’m glad I hung till the end ; the resets didn’t work but when I crawled underneath, the right side adjuster rod wasn’t attached to the upper control arm! I popped a nut on and BAM, I was back in business! Thanks man!! Huge win!
Nice, glad I could help
Great video, is there a certain direction the bushings have to go in?
no
I found it easier to lower the spare tire and disconnect the large line and the smaller line not at the tank. The large line goes into evap canister and is a lot easier to see and disconnect. The small line has the same type of clip (blue in color) as the supply and returm lines at the front of the tank. Disconnect them, pull down on the white plastic line mounts and lower the tank. No playing blind disconnect on a poorly designed connector.
good tip
When it comes to upgrade to off-road led lights. One for led light bar that splice into the battery terminals and plug and play led pod lights is fine. But if I want more off-road lights, I would custom parts to make them all work. But does this Lasfit - 8 gang switch panel, is capable for all 8 different types of led off-road lights to hook up from one switch panel? And its design for plug and play off-road light kits correct? And it’s an ability for one led pod light, one for light bar, one for rock lights, and one for secondary pod lights?
Whats your opinion of this fridge now?
still using it, still great.
@@HawkeyeSkunkWorks Thank you. I'm thinking about ordering one

It was the ECU wire hack that did the trick. I also tried your ignition "On-wait-10-minute" suggestion prior to the wire hack. Thank you for posting this video.

Does this drain your battery being on constantly without a on/off switch ?
no
Where do I find that button to make the lock work?
Leters white out !

Hello chief , can you do a video how use obd fusion app to check ATF
Thanks for reaching out, that video is definitely on my list. I just have to make the time. Stay posted!

I have a 2007 SR5 and I think the wires from the fuse box (under the dash), that go to my 12v outlets, must go to some ignition switch relay or something like that. Maybe I can figure it out from watching the rest of this vid, but if you could please share with me what you had to do to get constant power to those outlets in your 4th gen, thanks.
If I dont have a video covering that for the 4th gen I know its out there because I watched one on how to do it to my 4th gen.
@HawkeyeSkunkWorks thanks brother yea I found this video, the relay is under the dash backside of the fuse box kzread.info/dash/bejne/lqyO27SKZ9vSeLQ.htmlsi=WwIcPpb6yj78z-cU
What fuse did you use?
How did you clear the codes? Can you let me know step-by-step thank you
Have to use your OBDII scanner and clear them. Just like any other cel.
I’m doing this now on my wife’s GX….same issues, I must have the same seat cover. Looks like I’ll be getting a fabric punch and some new clips too.. My pad is toast, side bolster has some gashes out of it. Do the aftermarket cushions last? OEM is near $300 and I never felt they were comfortable to begin with…
How much height did this add to the stock 6’1 in ride height ?
hi did you need to adjust the camber after you installed the tacoma shocks?
Id bet your bolt is coming loose because the spindle isnt bottoming out in the drive side. With both 2mm spacers in between the case and BB, you are preloading the bearings. I may be wrong since every situation is different these days. Im having issues with the chainring rubbing the frame. Im going through hell finding the correct spacing, offset, and chainline.
I got into studying coffee about six months ago. At first I was not into roasting but learning what coffee really was and how to get really good tasting coffee. I watched a ton of James Hoffman's videos and learned so much about coffee grinding and brewing. First thing I did was purchase a very good brew pot. Breville Precision one of the top of the line home coffee brewing. That is when I started purchasing nothing but whole beans. At one time I had near 15 different brands of whole bean coffee in my bar. I got into purchasing expensive coffee as well as some like Blackout. One of the best I ever purchased was Blue Bottle whole bean medium roast. About three months ago, I got into roasting beans. My first try was in a hammered wok on my gas burner. It worked well and I saw my first , first crack. What a mess. The wok actually worked pretty well. Next I was using a frying pan over the burner. Then I made one of those flour sifter hot air roasters. It also worked pretty well but you have NO control over the type of roast you want. About two weeks ago, I ordered parts from Amazon mostly and made my first drum roaster with portable gas burner. It works very well and I have had some good results. But, a week ago after waiting over two months, I receive my FreshRoast SR800 with extension tube. Well Hawkeye, it is time for you got get out of the oven and order your FreshRoast SR800 with extension tube. What a great roaster for the home. Like you I am new to roasting but I have found my machine. Hot air is much better than any drum or oven roaster and well worth the money like my Breville Precision brewer. Chef Jerry Irmo South Carolina USA
Yeah this definitely wasnt my first method. By buddy has one of those fresh roasters, works good, beans lack a little depth imo. Until I can figure out a "better" method that I can roast and also smoke them, Ill still with this.
I been wanting to add a trans cooler to mine as well, not for towing but for a peace of mind.
I have a 2002 4.0 XLT it’s a lot of work haha great job man!
For those wondering for the GX460 it needs a 36” strut. I ordered the 24” for my 2022 were short. Edit-- also will need something to put on the bracket as a stop. I used thick 3M doubled sided tape and a metal washer. 20lb strut works well.
Had the clucking and added grease to the slip yolk. I had to add a lot of grease too. I started to notice the yoke sliding up. After a few more pumps, i stopped. I only noticed the yoke sliding but no grease coming out. Drove it a few times already and all the ckunking is gone. I will monitor it for grease coming out of the seal. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Joe, I did this 6 months ago but I added an Audio Control ACM 1.300. The amp is tiny and puts out 300 watts @ 2 ohms. You can install it right above the rear ac blower motor with a little trimming. I added a remote level knob available thru Audio Control which for me is essential. I did need to space the interior trim panel away from the subwoofer as the increased cone excursion allowed the surround to contact the panel. The end result is what you hoped you would have gotten from the sub swap originally. Much better low end without it being overbearing. One cool thing I noticed was that since the sub box is mounted in the quarter panel, it transfers the subs vibrations thru the structure of the vehicle a lot more than a traditional sub box would so you "feel" it more, especially in the armrests and the seat bottom and floor. I'm not exaggerating when I say that it transformed the sound system. Be careful if you chose to run it at 2 ohms as that is more power than the sub is rated for. On bass heavy tracks the sub will lose control at higher volume so that's where the level knob earns it's keep. It also helps keep the peace with the Mrs since she is not a bass head like me and it's her truck. Lol!
Im going to look in to ALL of that, thanks.
