Hawaiian Cheese Logs: I love all the ingredients except shredded coconut. They are not good together in my opinion.
Why is diner coffee desired by anyone? There's a reason why there are thousands of coffee shops now. Even McDonald's and 7-11 have better than diner coffee these days. Some brands of cold cereal come and go, but all of the meat and egg dishes remain. They still make Tang by the way. Who serves quiche for breakfast?
Corned beef hash was a supper dish for my family, we did have with eggs baked ontop tho'. It's Jiffy Pancake mix, from Chelsea Michigan. Marty Maypo
❤️
😂 bran was for people who wanted to be regular in the morning. Not good. I lived through those years and we only had bacon eggs cereal Pop tarts cibs pancakes and sausage. And coffee was instant. Not that frappe stuff.
I do not like cream eggs.
What do you like about the dishes?
I still love corn beef hash
What do you like about the dishes?
It's not Jiffy Pop! That is popcorn! It is Jiffy Baking Mix! Sheesh!
Sorry!
My mall still has an FYE.
Better
It's not Mawpo. It's May, like the month, po. I remember it. I make porridge still, old school, and drizzle it with maple syrup to this day. Eggs in a nest I make as an occasional Sunday breakfast.
❤️
We called Eggs In a Nest "Popeye Eggs".
Steak and eggs was around a lot longer than ww2
The bot covered spam twice
Need to instruct on how to pronounce Brand names!
Instant breakfast is still a favorite in our home.
❤️
NOTE : The cake in the thumb nail NOT INCLUDED 🤬🤬🤬
They still have "Jiffy Pop" muffin mix. How is this clown? We make quiche a few times a month.
SOS, creamed eggs, aka gravy on toast or biscuits still a favorite, and not forgotten.
I still have Spam, Corned Beef Hash & Steak & Eggs for breakfast. Sunny D is still sold in stores. I can't say I've ever had fruit cocktail for breakfast.
May-po not Mop-o
It was just Jiffy pancake mix. Jiffy pop was a popcorn brand.
No.Egg rolls aren’t not around. They’re available in Chinese takeouts and Panda Express e.t.c.They’re a choice of appetizer on the menu quite.
Please learn how to pronounce brand names before you lament their passing. Very annoying.
WTF IS WITH THAT SUBSCRIBE BELL SOUND. Jesus Christ it's loud
It will be modified in the following videos
15:19 Rumaki rules!
I’m at pigs in a blanket and am wondering which of these has faded? It’s 2024 and seems these are more like classic, long lasting appetizers!
Couldn't find a video for the abalone meuniere? I can buy spinach dip at Wal-Mart. We still eat Frito pie and you can make it at QuikTrip.
❤️
I've never heard of a Hawaiian cheese log. * I love Swedish meatballs and Ikea's are horrid. * I've never had Clams Casino and am only familiar with them from movies set in the 1950's. They look really good though. * Crab rangoon is still a staple in every Chinese restaurant we go to. By the way, make your own blend of sweet and sour sauce with some hot mustard for dipping. You'll love it! * Pigs in a Blanket originated from sausage stuffed pretzels. It first appeared in a U.S. cookbook in the 1957 publication, "Cooking for Kids" by Betty Crocker. * The most popular 1970's version of spinach dip appeared and was made from the recipe on the back of the Knorr vegetable soup mix. It was typically put in a dark rye boule and sometimes a ciabatta boule. My preference is the rye. People still love it to this day. * When and where did eggrolls disappear? * I will say I haven't seen cheese puffs served anywhere for a while. Not since last Christmas. * Never and won't ever have chicken liver pate. I remember it, just didn't eat it. * Deviled ham spread was more 60's. * Cucumber and salmon sandwiches were good. * Finally, one spot on. Rumaki. But I would never eat that either. A lot of people didn't. RIP. * Stuffed celery was from a non-cook who did their best to make treats for guests. Not bad. It could be worse: Saltines and Cheese Wiz. * I have to say I can't remember seeing Oysters Rockafeller in a long while. * Deviled crab is a southern thing. * Jellied Tomato Aspic? WTH? The 70's? Do you mean the 1870's? * Pickle wraps? Where did this guy live? The wraps shown didn't even become popular until the 90's. * As another person said, charcuterie is widely popular as is cheese and cracker trays. * Beef tongue canapes? Umm, can't say that this was popular with my crowd. * Grape leaves are still widely available. * D+

Ngl that tequila cake got me interested. Never heard of or had it. Everything else, been there done that.
❤️
I still make Swedish meatballs at least 4 times a year. Not faded in my house. :-)
Delicious
"Zee Neth" not "Zen ith"
Cajun Cuisine is sought after these days.
Okay ❤️
I remember a deep dish danish in the late 80s but i cant remember who made them!!! Help
Most of these dishes are disgusting! No wonder they're gone.
😂
Did not expect Bacon and Cabbage to be on this dish and the proper history of it in the US either.
Turtles. No freakin way. Nope. Never.
MAY-PO not muppo
Yes! Why on earth would something with MAPLE in the product (MAY PEL), and having the letters M-A-Y be pronounced MOPPO?! Does no one actually research pronunciations?
I Love the Bell. .! I'm an old NAVY man.... Brings back memories..! Of being aboard Ship
❤️
My family still eats egg in the hole and corned beef hash with eggs 😊❤
My husband's family called it peek-a-boo eggs. I love "real" corned beef hash on the crispy side. I alway have to ask at restaurants if it's home made...alot of places use the canned stuff.
@rslooby6130 that's awesome, my aunt makes real corned beef (=
Where I live banana pudding, along with fruit cobblers and apple crisp is very much still a staple in quite a few buffet style restaurants along with family gatherings.
❤️
Pigs in a blanket are eaten daily especially by kids in Thailand
My grandkids love pigs in a blanket…so do their parents!
My fam eats a bunch of these. What are they talking about forgotten
Clams gamble at casinos??
The spinach dip is disgusting, all dips are, unless you server to people you are sure do not double dip. In the 70's - 80's you could buy spring/egg rolls in the same places as you would buy "fast food". They would be cut open when fried, rice would be added and topped with curry sauce. They were called Chow-Chow (I have no idea where the name come from and it wasn't made with dog) I still make chicken liver paté with sherry. I remember those celery, horrible when people weren't aware they had to peel them first.
❤️
Basically; he is letting you know how long; each appetizer has been around. 😋❤👍
I grew up in the 1970s, but I don't remember half of these and didn't care for most of the other half. I still make the few I did enjoy: blondies (which you mentioned more than once), butterscotch brownies, apple crisps and I'm working on getting lava cakes right. (Actually, the first time I encountered lava cakes was well into the 1980s, at somebody's wedding, I think.) None of those are in short supply nowadays.
Ha Golden Age, what ever happened to G.I. Joes stores?
🤔
Napoleons is what I miss the most ...
Pudding pops are still bomb.
❤️
i still make some of these dishes at least once a month. from scratch, not from a box at the store. surprisingly easy and none of the chemicals processed food contains to extend shelf life.
Tasty
Those fruit custard tarts are still made at lots of bakeries. Hello Dollies are still made. Cream pies are in every pie shop as well as every frozen food aisle in supermarkets. Napoleons are still a bakery staple. Jesus, do you guys actually research ANY of your videos??
