Bose Garage is a KZread channel run by two brothers, Aswin Harish and Aditya Bose. Mechanical Engineers by profession and Automobile Enthusiasts by passion.
We intent to share the knowledge that we acquired through hands on restoration and periodic maintenance activities done on our vehicles, in a way that will be helpful for fellow enthusiasts.

At present we are doing strip down restoration of our Premier Padmini 137D and Bajaj Chetak 12V Electronic. The entire restoration journey will be featured in our channel and we will ensure that genuine information which will be helpful for fellow enthusiasts will be shared in each of our videos.

This is a very informative video on the finer aspects of the cylinder block and piston... Quite enlightening ! 👍 My Rx135 4S was in storage and rust has caught up on the cylinder wall. As such the piston is seized at BDC. For past few days, I am soaking in diesel, 2T oil and with occassionsl spray of WD-40. Able to scrub a fair amount of oxidation. Still seems a long way to go before I can get the piston out of seizure... Is this good enough? Thanks

excellent video, the only thing I don't understand is that on my car when I act on the idle speed adjustment screw the engine rpm never changes... the only screw that affects the rpm is the adjustment screw of the mixture. Is there anything broken in my carburetor?
@fabiodellaira1401 The idle rpm should change when you turn the idle speed adjustment screw. Try to to remove the idle speed adjustment screw completely and check for damaged thread on the screw as well as on the threaded area on the casing. Some cases the thread on the carburetor casing gets damaged and the screw will just keep turning at the same position and hence wont alter the engine rpm.
@@bosegarage Thanks for the reply! I'm sure that the screw has an ok thread, in fact if I unscrew the screw it comes out and if I tighten it it goes into its seat. If you can, could you explain to me what this screw does? does it act on the external levers or does it open and close the internal ducts of the carburettor?

@@amruth8558 If you can borrow me one of these perfect replica then I am more than happy to do another video in comparison to the OE one I have. Both the Carbs in this video was personally bought from Indonesia itself. The OE one from a Yamaha genuine parts dealer in Bandung and the replica from a random online seller for a fraction of the price of the original one. I was specifically looking for a replica that came in the original type packaging. Other replicas available here are from some brands called TUTTO, ALKUNL, FUKUKAWA etc. But they all come in their own packaging and visually also it is easy to differentiate from an original one.
