That neck.
Waiting for openings, forcing openings, creating openings.
3:00 6:21
Good stuff
I would be listening more if I were him. You got 7 minutes with a legend. 80/20 rule maybe?
Pfff the speed of the dude when he grabs your foot good luck applying the escape lol
some one explain me plz 1 2 3 what kind of sparring?
I love when your intuition and what you do happens to be the exact same as how the best guy in the world does it. I love deep understanding even over technician experts. Understanding always allows you to know what to do even if you haven't been in that position before. I happen to have the same body type, so maybe it just resonates more. But yeah very cool.
that frame detail is important. You need to frame near the elbow not the hand.
The only way to pass this guy`s guard is to give him a spinal anesthesia and wait 20 minutes to start rolling !
Hey Marcelo, muito grato pelos videos, tem ajudado demais, clareando muitas duvidas, e provendo muitas opcoes e dando pontos de vista diferentes. obrigado por compartilhar gratuitamente I'm grateful for the videos, has been helping heaps, clarifying positions, and also providing a different perspective, thanks again for sharing this for free. I love Marcelo but his English is holding him back. I wish he’d take some classes.
Can anyone please explain or link me to the counter he mentions where the defending opponent willingly puts their hand between your legs to défense thé guard pass?
Eddie Bravo was visiting that day.
He literately gives you an omoplata. Won’t work.
Fuk rubber guard. I’m gonna counter them in my upcoming tournament
Thank you sir marcelo garcia
Truth 💪❤️👍
Gordon Ryan’s answer is a lot better and safer
Great material... OSU!!
Versatility, adaption and resilience, also no Dildo Danis
I was at a seminar with Shawn Williams. He was asked how to pass this, he simply said turn your thumbs in and just stand up. It works, uke falls right off.
Marcelo should have poured him some tea. And then just kept pouring... His cup was already full.
Marcelo in heaven
Marcelo is cool
59 people on this thread should watch the video of Eddie visiting Marcelo and watch this pass in action
7:53 oh god the spazzy white belt at my gym was doing it right all along
You just assumed he was doing it wrong just because he's a white belt?
@@mylanmay no assumed he was wrong because of the many kicks, elbows, and headbutts I received
@@matheusgarcia2766 ahh, i know a couple of those haha
1:56 im sorry 😂😂😂 always humble 🙏🙏🙏
Great 👍🏻 ♥️ Thanks Marcelo 🙏🏻
this is why double bagging is important
It would be my honor to train at the MG. Club, he is such a great person and champion.
3:12 counter k-guard
This moves is risky and not simple..
at that point when you put your elbow on top of your partner leg then your partner is not going to stay there and do nothing, he will immediately go to the omoplata or any of the other attacks, also after you put your elbow on top the leg he can still take the triangle, i am not very convinced on that pass
He literally jumped into gianni’s guard. Where is the old Marcelo?
He was showing 3 different fighting styles one was aggressive the other defensive and the last was a blend of both offense and defence and picking the right times to attack
So no one is gonna point out how much he struggles passing gianni’s guard? Some of his students are passing his abilities 😂😳
I wonder how in part 1 you can escape the position "double back" after "new york".
Double Bag*
That guys guard is redicolous
Excellent! Thanks you for sharing!
Osss!!!
8:53 dude's head looks like a wrinkled grapefruit you'd buy from the supermarket wtf
haha his name is Greg Sirico
uy...this is not gonna be easy. This pass requires milli second coordination and a deep-feel for the other persons movements. the top guy has to know just how to place the elbow on the leg. The bottom guy isn't going to be just laying there like in this video. one or two wriggles or pumps from his leg and that leg is slapping your wrist right into your neck (like marcelo warned.). Marcelo can do this all day. don't know about the rest of you. lol
Marcelo is such a nice guy.
👍👍👍👍🤙🤙🤙
