Top tip is slowly lowering the drop saw to get a really clean cut
did you change polarity when welding flux? I think they can look better
Are they available at Bunnings?
Just checked and they do sell them they are called centering drill bits
This is good. I think you could have also re tapped threads on the inside of the knob.
Yea the previous tenants did try that and it came loose over time I guess
@@Hibrahimandco yep, but I saw you taping it in and threads cutting into the wood as you screwed it in, your one is in there solid. Great work !
i just found out about your channel and I really like your thorough approach to fixing things. Other people would probably have just left the damaged waterproofing and installed the soap holder on top. It is good to see that you take your time to do the right thing by waterproofing over it. Subscribed!
Thanks for the kind words and noticing the quality work that I do. Appreciate the subscription too
Should have been wearing eye protection.
Great work brother !
Great video mate thanks for sharing your experience with us 👍👍
Glad to hear from viewers
You really done very well…
Oh my! Thank you for this…I have a new soap holder ready to replace the broken old one😊
Another option is drill holes out to similar size of wooden or plastic dowell ,glue it in and cut back flush. Drill another pilot hole and screw hinge on. It will look like no repair was done. If the damage was a little bit too muck then those plates are good.
Did you spray some WD40 or similar in the hinge to loosen up any rust and stop restricting opened and closed. Even better, knock that pin out and clean up with grinder b4 welding back into position. Thanks for sharing
Tried to spray wd40 up into it but looking back probably should have just knocked the pin out and greased her up. Lesson learned with on the job experiences 🙃
@@Hibrahimandco absolutely. If people have the attitude to learn they are better for it as you move forward. 👍
How much for the ute
I paid 42k second hand ex Sunday rails work vehicle. I believe the heavy duty drawers when I looked them up alone were worth $1500 from memory
@@Hibrahimandco sounds like a good price considering you didn't have to add anything and the pre setup would tick most of what is needed without the headache of doing it.
Great tool 👍thanks mate
I’m all for spending coin if it makes light work and quick to punch out more work orders
hey mate have you tried welding aluminium with this machine?
Not yet been super busy with work to have the opportunity to play. I had to buy a neck for the wire feed separately, it finally arrived but haven’t had the pleasure in of practicing just yet. Will pop a video up when I do of my experience 😅
@@Hibrahimandco sounds good mate. I'm having massive dramas with the machine trying to weld aluminium. I went into total tools yesterday and they said a rep will be in contact with me. ill let you know how I go.
Iv owned the 230 welder for over a year, iv been lucky and had zero issues with tig welding aluminium and tig welding mild steel loving this machine.
Hot tip. If you start filming with you phone rotated 90 degrees.. 'landscape' your footage will be full screen.
Well done bro !
Nice looking welder. Practice practice practice.
I can’t understand why your not happy doing what you trained for what a waste of time I hope your wife sticks to being a doctor
Great tip mate !!
Glad u like it. Was thinking why it happens to me and I believe it depends on the direction of the timber.
Great video mate thanks for sharing your experience 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the positive feedback back
Well done Huss !
Thanks mate
You have so many great tips thank you. Do you know how to remove glass door from aluminium frame? Ours won’t come out just by lifting to top & pulling bottom out🤯 we need to check why it’s so hard to slide.
Thank you for the kind words and tuning in. I find if I’m having real trouble trying to getting it out, you obviously turn the roller screws all the way anticlockwise on both sides and bring the sliding door to the middle of the frame it’s sitting in as sometimes there can be a bit more play and the bottom rail will bow down with pressure may require a crowbar to pop the sliding door frame out from its channel from the bottom if that makes sense.
thanks for the video. If it struggles with little branches like that it will not handle anything bigger. Wish you showed us a 100mm branch. (I don't think ill be getting one)
Great job
Thanks for the feed back and tuning in
Quick question. The DCB095 charger reads 120v AC input. So you had no trouble running it from a 240v outlet?
Hi Alex, yeah no issues. I just used my adapter plugged it in and she started charging straight away as shown in the video and it is by far the most utilised tool used in the job orders that I get.
@@Hibrahimandco Thanks for the quick reply. Ye, sounds great.
Long sleeves and leather boots.
i suggest (1) learn to stick weld (2) put the guard back on the grinder : Lloyds plate welding cert holder .
I have been told to by a few people now will give it a go with my new welder. Was advised it’s easier then mig.
Did you try it DECP flux core is DCEN
Thanks for the reply and good pick up. As mentioned in previous comment I worded it wrong during the video as I have been practicing welding with my new gas welder lately. Correct set up is MIG/MAG WELDING: CONNECT THE TORCH LEAD TO THE POSITIVE TERMINAL (+) AND THE CLAMP LEAD (C) TO THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL (-GASLESS WELDING: (WITH FLUX CORED WIRE): CONNECT THE TORCH LEAD TO THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL (-) AND THE CLAMP LEAD (E) TO THE POSITIVE TERMINAL (+)
Is there enough to hold onto? I feel it will break again, especially when a kid stands on it, which is probably how it originally broke
I Was at the property again today, other trades were using it and was functioning as it should, if any issues the property agents know I’ll come back to mend.
That weld is good enough. It only orignally was holding 15 to 20 mil so you put a nice thick weld on there. In situations like these dressing it up is not the goal, its practicality which you achieved. Good work ! She'll be right !
So true, thanks for the feedback back. Its usable again and im learning by experience
Shouldn't you be using positive ground for that weld?
Yes you’re right. It was set up that way I mentioned it incorrectly thanks
Well done son. Mabrouk!
what did you get to charge for that one?
I had multiple jobs at the one property this being one of them. I just took the opportunity to get the welder out to be honest. If you were to head out to do this job what what u think would be a reasonable charge? Remember travel time equipment consumables all add up. Quoting and invoicing are my hardest dilemmas 😅
@@HibrahimandcoI would say 60 dollars call out, 120 dollars for use of my equipment and 100 buck labour. So 280 ?
@@mohammedakramshaik2929 that's unbelieavably overpriced. 150 is fair i think. You don't have to get rich off of 1 gate repair.
@@viktorreznov1548 bro a price is opinionated, you can't get rich of 280 bucks bro. But we all have bills to pay and nothing in life is free. You not paying just for someone's time, you paying for his knowledge that he can do that the customer cannot.
I feel $150 is a little light personally. Equipment alone welder, wire, tip, grinder ppe is quite the expense. If I was to price this up as a stand alone job I would think $200-250 is reasonable for equipment hire consumables time travel and labour. Remember we still have to pay tax on these so we don’t actually take home the total invoice cost, we have expenses to pay ( tax, insurance, travel, running cost, maintenance ), all these expenses I never knew about until being a new business owner 🥵 but thanks for the feed back good know what people would quote cheers
Slap some CT1 around the edges and use a hoover to pull it into place? 😅
Funny u mention that. When I was leaving the job it sprung to mind could of try and use my heavy duty suction cup handles I use for carrying heavy tiles 🧐 a massive part of daily jobs is problem solving and usually on the cheap side 😅
Here a full run down on how to work all the settings if you need it!! kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZX6r1NOngrvUqdo.htmlsi=FFH8k9SUdTwpX3ko
3M hooks with double sided tape, you’ll have the hook to pull from and tape will come out without destroying paint work. 3 second glue to glue the panel and bobs your uncle. If you don’t know 3 second glue, it will open up loads of opportunities as a handyman!!
Ok sweet thanks will look it up
@@Hibrahimandco how’s maintenance business going in AU? I’ve been considering it when older. I predict this will boom.
crappy feed system gotta keep using wood block to feed it .
I did forgot to show the original grate. However I did have the original grate changed for this reason and totally forgot to show it on this video but i totally understand the frustration
Wow looks awesome mate, I have a damaged brake/indicator housing on the back of the caravan, $1000 bucks a set (L/R pair) to replace, I’ll give this kit a go for shore 👍🏻
Wowza, yep you will definitely save hundreds with this product. It’s a little messy. Just make sure you wear PPE gear and cover surrounding areas that you don’t want to mess up all the best mate
@@Hibrahimandco Thanks Mate 🙂
great work man. i want to work in handi mam, i also had aexperiences in construction diiferent fiels. but i dont have any certifications. so what things to do for becoame a handy man
Good on you buddy obviously having qualifications and certificates look favourable on paper. However, you do not require a license if the work completed is under a certain amount for example. New South Wales if I was to invoice someone less than $5000, I don’t require a license. if I was to work in Victoria and The greater than $10,000, I will need a license. Each state is slightly different. Below is a reference point for your starting point to get started. @@Hibrahimandco thank you for your response
"promosm" 🌷
Wonderful Short quick and helpful Thanks for taking the time to share
Thanks for your video mate. How would you charge a small job like this? Do you have a minimum charge?
I usually change $70 call out which includes the first hour of work. And $70 per hour thus after. Plus and wear and tear of tools used drill bits. From memory I charged $140 for this job as I did multiple taps through out the house
Got a heap of tools 👍
Yeah I can’t get my old barrel out, pretty sure you have to lock it to get out, and I’ve lost my keys 🤦♂️
I will certainly update this video when I get the chance but here another great Aussie I follow that shows exactly what need to be done kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z6l3mZmvn7fHnKQ.htmlsi=hniLg9eOLiokeB4H
not bad if it doesn't leak what was the all up material cost and how much was the job worth?
$70 in material $ 270 travel and labour total $340
Hi how will I know which one fits fine
I’m going to delete this video soon and do a an updated version as there are a few crucial steps I left out.
Nice job
Thank you appreciate the feed back
I followed up with tenant, he was impressed with the fix and stated the tub no longer has a bounce to it and is firm 🙌🏽
Having trouble with the a/c dumping water like 50lt in 6 hours is there a timer setting in the controller that I can adjust so it doesn’t dump so much water
Unfortunately I don’t have an answer for you, I would think the float ball is where I would start looking at first as it regulates how much water fills the reservoir (tray) possibly requires a clean or new seal
