This is girl stuff in my opinion. Never used one. A buddy of mine uses them. Lol. I always give him a weird look like. Really? Whatever. To each his own. Good review though. I wanted to see the pros maybe I was missing something. I guess I've never damaged my gear enough to feel I need one.

I do a lot of bank fishing and some kayak fishing but my setup doesn't change much. I use a couple of those small Gamakatsu boxes for terminal tackle and a couple of 3500 size boxes with pre-rigged softbaits along with crankbaits, spinnerbaits, chaterbaits, etc. for what I'm fishing for. This all goes into a small tacklebag that I sling over my shoulder. I found that I can stock the smaller boxes with the baits that match the the rod I am using and add a 3600 with a few more when in the kayak. If I bring too much, I end up spending more time changing baits than fishing.

Have you ever ran across any backpacks that have separate upper and lower compartments? When I say separate I mean, without the removeable shelf. My issue is, I don't bring 4 tackle trays. I might bring one or two at the most and what happens is, everything on top just falls thru to the bottom...

But is not the same thing as a sinko have to mucho salt and don't float. TRD is not just a worm cut. It has not much salt in them to float right. The only one to use and work right how you want it too. If the worm has no salt it will float great better than salty worms.

A plastic boat that flexes in the heat. Old town don’t, and with hobie being bought out by investment group I’m hearing a lot of hobie not covering warranty.

You would have been better off with old town sportsman 136 auto pilot. I use to be a hobie owner but I got the old town sportsman 132 pdl and it’s a great yak and my truck hauls it everywhere I go.

The best thing you can do is ensure your boat has lots of positive buoyancy. Foam filled cavities, polystyrene glued to the underside of the top decks, even large plastic bottles stowed way up in the bow. All these things will help keep you afloat in an emergency.

I love the lightness and the stand-up bar and you can lean against it. But theres a solution that the R/C hobby guys use on there plastic body's that they slop on the bodys from breaking. So im thinking if there was something you could slop on the bottom that won't melt into the material of foam and make it tuffer. But yes kayak builders need to build them light and im seeing prices going up like crazy and its redickless. If it gets $3k and up on ones that where like $500 dollars I just stay with my 16Foot Lung boat and stay safe from Water Snakes lol

Crank wise sexy shad is my main square in different variety...but with soft plastics,craws,senko,trick worms,..black/blue(blue glitter), green pumpkin/orange(orange glitter), white/chartreuse(silver glitter), watermelon/(red, purple,glitter.) as for top water i heard the opposite white belly on cloudy black belly on bright days I use a white belly frog or popper any time and have success regardless of sky condition.

I find that for a day of fishing on the water, this model is simply too small. It can't carry large water bottles, and with ice, you don't have much room for much else. I think it's great for a half day on the water with not too much heat, and if you just want to have lunch and a few drinks. If you're fishing with two people and want to bring lunch and several drinks, or larger bottles of water, you need something larger.

That is just an amazing double kayak trailer! Worth the investment imo. Especially as you said you are tournament fisher, or you and the wife have fishings kayaks! I mean, why skimp on the trailer when you have 15k invested in 2 kayaks?!
