I'm afraid Mr. Griffith would be sorely disappointed with how men (and even women) had declined in such behavior over the past century. Lillian Gish was so lovely; those eyes conveyed the emotions in a time when actors did not speak. Good that preservation started when it did; the cellulose was beginning to seriously decay.

It's hard to have to make decisions that are so emotionally charged and final when you feel like you just got sawed in half. It was for me. But also being the daughter of a dad that was distant and elsewhere most of my young life i know how the character of the daughter hurt in this movie and resented the new wife as another person her dad wanted to know more than her. And also might have been a less bitter person if her dad had been around more in her life. I think giving a small part of his ashes to the daughter would have been healing for both characters and finding the will would have given a more secure ending. It was a beautiful home. It would be unlikely that she would send a letter to the daughter who took her home away from her dont you think. That would be so traumatizing. It seemed to me the dad and husband let both these woman down. One with no updated will and one by not being around or in touch with.

The Dalai Lama is the reincarnation of Ghengis Khan. He murderered Dorje Shugden in the 1600’s. He owned 3000 slaves before China invaded Tibet in 1959. Over 1 million people died because he banned Dorje Shugden in 1999 and called him a “demon”. He told the Chinese authorities the Panchen Lamas location in 1995 so they raided his home, killed his family, and threw that 6 year old Panchen Lama in prison where he still lives today. He also kissed a little boy with his tongue out around March 2023 (possible pedo phile). Please people, will you please consider that the Dalai Lama is not who he says he is?
