Texas Girls Farm is a farm or homestead, which is named after my three grand-daughters.
This channel will show the improvements on my 10.5 acres in East Texas. This was raw land covered in thick briers and cow vines, which couldn't even be walked through. The only thing on the property was a 400 square foot metal building. Follow along with our adventure to see the land improved and a home built. We garden, landscape, raise chickens (eventually will raise other livestock), build, and always have a project to do. My grand-daughters have and will, from time to time, be helping in the progress of the property and are excited to be a part of the channel.
Shorts are provided for your enjoyment. A glimpse into our Texas Girls personalities and the other things they like, besides working. Yes, they get Grandma involved at times. Life is short, so live it.

Thank you for "all" the amazing comments and glad you found our channel. I subscribed to yours also and can't wait to try some of your recipes. 😊
That's so cute! Thanks for sharing
Thank you. I love these goats for sure, even though Dutton can be a pain. Glad you enjoyed it.
We had so much fun at BAMFEST! Great video!! I hit the subscribe to your channel! Look forward to watching more of your content!!
We did too. We will probably be at Pine Cone Fest in October in Mt. Vernon, TX. Subscribed to you guys' channel also.
@@texasgirlsfarm-tgf4197 thank you so much for subbing to us!! We appreciate it. Hope you love our content
Did you give the plumber money??
James, not this time. He works on a percentage of the job complete. Plumbing in slab 30%, this part will be 40% when complete, and then finishing 30%. I like how he does his work and don't mind waiting a little longer.
@texasgirlsfarm-tgf4197 the only reason I asked is because there are those folks out there that have issues. Whether it be financial drugs alcohol a gambling problem and then there's those folks who will use a smaller person to finance a larger project that pays more. I just don't want to see you taken advantage of.
😂so cute!
Thank you, Clara.
Wrong version of the song, think you meant to pick the hank Williams version 😂 none the less beautiful black angus.
Nope, meant to pick Josh Turner. They were all just chilling out together in the shade.
1st view, 1st like
Thanks, Joe. 😊
Those yours?
No, they are my sisters.
You even know who this is? I've been trying to get a hold of you. Facebook messenger and TGF
Your grass is beautiful! Keeping you in my prayers❤ Hope your plumbers get there soon.
Thank you, Clara, and thank you for the prayers.
Hope you are doing good! I watch when ever I can. Sure do miss you girl! Been praying for you! Lots of love!
Doing fine, just wished there was progress on the house Miss you too. Thank you for the prayers. Love you ❤️
Nice video. I love seeing the goats. ❤️
Thank you, Valerie. They can be very relaxing...as long as Dutton isn't being a little butt. 😊
Wowzer, never seen a squash plant that huge, it sure is beautiful!
Me neither, Clara. I just wish it was producing.
It was a lot of fun
It sure was. Good to see you there. Thanks for watching.
There's a reason that they say There's a pecking order.
That's right James.
You always have such beautiful roosters!
Thank you, Clara. What is good about these is, they are not aggressive to people. Except Leghorn doesn't care to much for Shayne, but he has chilled some since getting older.
I would love to have been there & to meet you. Good to hear you had such a good time. I do not know your name, so on the “live” it took me longer to say Hi! 👋🏻 💜
Marilyn, that would have been nice. My name is Linda, but I always comment from the channel TGF. No problem. Thanks.
Oh wow Thanks for sharing this video. I know there is a pecking order. Hope they will be ok. Glad you are there. Have a blessed day
Thank you for watching. They were fine. Day 2, this morning and it went much better.
Looks like y'all had a good time!!!
James, we truly did. I missed a few exits on the way to Tulsa, but we had safe travels to and from the event. Thank you.
I never knew this!! Now I have to go see it!!!!!!!
We had a really good time. The group that runs the place are super nice and full of information. We a actually drove a couple of blocks over to see the park, where the big fight took place. This was a Lacey wish, so glad they all got to experience it.
Looks like fun was had by all, tfs❤
We had a blast, Clara. It was a nice trip.
Looking good!!!
Thanks, James.
Nice video with good audio.👍I liked that you followed the games a bit and not just “jumped around”. 👌Now you got yourself a new subscriber from Norway. 😊
Glad you liked it. It was hard to video while also playing. Glad the girls helped me. Thank you for subscribing 😊
Have great time with your granddaughters at BAM 24! 💜
Thank you! You too!
@@marilynfdavis891 hi Marilyn 👋 ☺️ 😊 miss u
Ask how the real wedding that was at Someday Ranch went? Brandon and Tom (from Tom & Rhonda) were there as witnesses. This is on the official certificate they showed. Why did everyone not tell the real story? Why on earth would you want family to live with that burden for life? God Bless ma'am11
I may just do that. Nice that Tom and Rhonda were there. You know people are different. They probably have there reasons. I'm just glad they found the time to do it. Thanks.
How long do u think it will last? Jayson can't finish anything, so I'm sure he can't finish a marriage 😊
They will be fine. Sorry you have such a negative perspective on others lives. Try to find the positive in every day. God bless.
@texasgirlsfarm-tgf4197 it's the crockers fault I'm like that.... ever seinc they made then negative videos about me, has changed the way I look at people now... sorry
They haven't directly called out too many people out, but if they did, they had their reasons. Anyway, that was long ago and water under the bridge. Just let it go. You'll be a happier person.
Place looks beauriful Ms.Linda!
Thank you, Clara. ❤
Your property looks great! To keep your lawnmower belt on, you maybe need to tighten the pulley for it. God bless you❤
Thanks, Valerie. I have tightened before, probably need to tighten it again. Thank you. God bless you too.
Place looks real nice, safe travels!❤
Thank you, Clara.
Hello 👋 Miss Linda Ray, the grass looks amazing and since I’ve been watching the channel and progress, is 300% improvement.👍🙌💪🙏🍀🌈✌️🐽🐷🐖
Thanks, Bill. I appreciate you.
Those look like a sand wasp, they also burrow in the sand to make their nests. They have a worse sting than regular wasps or bumble bees.
Thanks, Joe. I saw one in the greenhouse today and it had killed a regular wasp. Mean little devils for sure.
Wow the goats are so huge, I think they could pull a cart! I know he can be a bit naughty but he sure is handsome!❤
Clara, all true statements. Pulling a cart would be a site to see 🤣
👋👍
Thanks, Clara. This has become a daily routine.
I like seeing your home coming along! Love your videos ❤
Thanks, Valerie. Glad to see you are doing ok. I've been thinking of a few of my ladies, who watch.
Garden looks beautiful!
Thank you. I need to weed eat again, the grass has taken over.
👍stay cool
We are trying. You too.
So happy you made it through the storms! Exciting your plumber is there! ❤
Thank you. I've been waiting on them for weeks, but they are here now, and we can continue the build.
Hello 👋 Miss Linda Ray, I’m so glad that the hay is helping keep your seed in place. It’s looking really nice around the property. We had a little rain but nothing gully washed away. It was more like a badly needed rain
Yes, Bill it is working great. Glad to hear you got rain also.
Well dang it, got un subbed from the channel! From being sick and busy farming just noticed it. I fixed it ❤
Well that explains you MIA. I was wondering about you. Hope you are better now. I've missed reading your comments.
I believe those are gooseberries or chokeberries. I don't recall which, but they make a good pie or jam.
Thanks for letting me know, I appreciate it.
Buckle up !!! Can I recommend tent stakes to hold down your tarp??
You know it, James. It looks like the worst is staying east of us, not far. LA is getting hammered. Thanks. Praying all stay safe.
Hey girl, I have been thinking about you! Stay safe! You know I love you here in Virginia!!!!
Hey Marianne! Good to hear from you. Today, the tornadoes, so far, are staying east of us. Hope you all are doing good. Miss you and love you too.
Good morning Miss Linda Ray, first of all 🙏we’re praying that the hurricane doesn’t do much damage to any physical property or people. Grandma Callahan’s first name was Beryl and she pronounced it Like Burl Ives. We got a little rain a couple days ago and then again last night. I’m seeing this video on the 8th. Blessings to all your family and the families of any in the path 👍🤞💪🙌🍀🌈✌️🐖🐷🐽
Good morning, Bill. Thanks for all your prayers. Winds haven't got here yet. They predict this afternoon between 1 & 2, we will see. Not raining right now, but it has been on and off. Have a great day.
Good morning Miss Linda Ray, I’ve been hearing a lot about how much better white okra and I was wondering if you had tried to grow it or have eaten it. We’re not a big fan of okra, but I would like to keep trying and find one more favorable for us.
Good morning, Bill. I have never heard of white okra or eaten it. I did grow the red jing okra last year, but I'll stick to my regular. I don't understand why more of mine didn't come up. I still have some of last year's crop in the freezer. Have a good day and weekend.
✌️
Good morning 🌞 Miss Linda Ray, I love that you are keeping your mowing cut length so high. I started doing that in my pasture area since spring mowing started and I have noticed a significant improvement in the quality of the pasture. I mow the pasture at the highest setting on the mower, which is about 8 inches high and the yard is at about 6 inches high. I find that the runoff is far less and the grass is growing much thicker. I learned this particular practice from the permaculture consultant that I watch on KZread who is in east Texas. Blessings to you and your family. The property is looking absolutely beautiful 🙌👍💪🙏🌈✌️🍀
Good morning, Bill. I prefer cutting it with the zero turn on the highest setting. It also helps to get rid of the weeds. What is the YT channel you have been watching? I think you mentioned it before, but I have forgotten. I would like to check it out. Thank you.
@@texasgirlsfarm-tgf4197 The YT channel is The Permaculture Consultant, William is very knowledgeable about permaculture and has a great way of keeping it simple enough to understand and work with. He also recommends others who may know something more about permaculture than he does. I found him through his parents YT channel, Permaculture Pastures Farm
I have watched a few of his videos before. Thank you.
Hello 👋 Miss Linda Ray, what a joy you must have being able to enjoy the beauty and grace of the deer grazing while drinking your morning coffee. You’re blessed beyond measure 🙏🌈✌️
Yes, it was quite a surprise to see them come so close. I seldom drink coffee anymore, only occassionally. I was out watering in the goat pen early morning. Thanks. Have a great 4th of July.
Commenting because it didn't count my like again on my end.
Thanks again. Sorry it is giving you such a hard time. You might need to logout and re-sign in.
Hello 👋 Miss Linda Ray, the property is looking sharp. Good job on Dutton’s new shelter. That’ll hold up well for a spell 🙌. That danged belt is being a real problem, I know my belts are in bad shape and need replacement. I just don’t have the money right now. Keep up the great work, you’re doing amazing. Blessings to all
So far, so good. I watched a video on how to add support between the hydrostatic transmissions, I just need to get my son-in-law to cut me a piece of angle iron and cut a couple of holes for the bolts to go through. The belt itself is in good condition, probably wouldn't hurt to replace the spring on the tension pulley. Thanks, Bill. Ya'll take care,
It's not adding my like to the total, I'm not sure why. Looks like I'm the 2nd view, but I gave it a like.
Thanks, Joe I appreciate you watching. You know YT????
Did you get your AC unit fixed???
Yes, I did. My son in law and daughter came over the week Lacey stayed with me and we got the fan motor switched out. Thanks for asking. I'd be in a real bind now if I hadn't got it fixed.
You are such a hard worker!
Thanks Theresa. I try hard to keep things looking good, but with this heat it's more difficult than it should be.
I love your place 😊
Thanks. It's a labor of love for sure.
