My name is Kevin. I hope you enjoy my videos of Dumaguete, Philippines where I retired early and live by the ocean. I often host beach parties with expats, and their Filipina wives or friends, where we swim and snorkel with colorful reef fish and corals and enjoy the island views. Please join me in exploring this beautiful area including day trips to waterfalls and mountain lookouts and island hopping. I will also show you the local infrastructure including restaurants, markets, medical facilities, etc. Please like and subscribe for more of this content.

A normal motorcycle with gears is much better for here n the Philippines. Lived here going on 5 years, crossed from Dumaguete to Cebu more times than I can count.....Never been asked for paperwork boarding the Ro-Ro. Ever. LTO allows you to ride with the paperwork the dealer gives you when you purchase, until or/cr arrive.

Kevin, something needs to change on how you do these apartment tours. I usually miss half the tour watching Jenalyn walking around instead of looking at the apartment! On second thought, these tours are perfect... please don't change a thing! 😂

It's not worth getting a pool since it will be rarely used once the novelty wears off. Most high end subdivisions or condos will let you use pool for about P100/head. We only use pool maybe 3x/year. The rest of the time it's better to go to the beach. For a budget build, that $5K+ for the pool can be better spent on appliances.

We have been in their pool, at least 20X this year, and we live on the beach. You’re not Kansas, you’re in 94F Dauin! It’s not a novelty 😉

Kevin I really like your channel but I think this one here you getting too far ahead of yourself... I have a problem with the value. 16:20 Based upon the exchange rate a 3.7 million dollar (in Philippine dollars) house can he either quite to either times three or a times 5 based upon the product or the service or the individual item that you're looking to purchase or buy call it what you be. An example buying a bottle of Coke in the US it probably cost you from a $1.89 to maybe $229 for a 12 oz bottle of Coke. So at the high end based upon that same three to one to five to one ratio You're talking on a high-end but a 45-46 cent bottle of Coke in the Philippines again same 12 oz. Now if I use that same formula for this 3.7 + million dollar house based upon your clients property that "You're" portraying. I'm not even going to go the math it's 18:39 just'a bit off - not trying to embarrass your assessment.. if you want to call it that. I understand all you're trying to do is display what the client or the homeowner would like to receive or being compensated by but. And my man $300,000 for a fake replica car.... Kevin plz

Can you explain your comment at 17:17 into the video where you say you earn 27.16% annually, not total? From my perspective it is total because you are taking all of the shares your dividends bought from both years and dividing that by the shares you bought yourself from both years. It seems to me it should be is 762.138-678.138=84.78 84.78*6.06=515.5171 515.5171/3648*100=14.1315% because you cannot count the last years dividend stock purchase in the next year as you didn't buy those stocks in the second year and so you didn't see that profit in both the first and second year, only in the first year. Happy to be corrected as there is a good chance I am missing something. Thanks for the video.

Wow, so much! The price on the house is good with all the rooms, maid quarters, baths, parking and wet kitchen... new & better than average fixtures. Even without public beach access the resorts there are even better since they are maintained, provide options... it would be my daily exercise with built in lunch. People who think they would be paying lower would be getting lower as well. Could it be that Fins was having an off day? Some items may not hit quality but other do; the beer temps can be worked on as long as prices aren't too high. It reminds me of some places from the Keys and I love the style and atmosphere, I compromise with the daily results. Would you say rent & food prices in Dauin are higher than in Bacong? Maybe due to resorts and scuba places for tourists?

The apartment is a great choice. Did it have an area outside for a dirty kitchen besides the parking? The indoor counter space works well and I can always set up a burner inside but I just like having the outside advantage. Did not remember much around the water tank. Very central location with beach and quiet; it may be my backup location if the 1 bedroom in your compound is taken. The restaurant was great but northpoint is too far for a regular venue... and Jennalyn's face at the end was hilarious!

No beef at that Robinson. I go to Tamiya Robinson to buy beef. I even have the butcher’s cell phone so I we know when fresh beef is delivered. It’s about a 20-30 minute drive from Newtown. Bigger store and more selection. S&R is a little better but you have to travel over the bridge into the city. That will take about 45-60 minutes from Newtown. I do like Newtown though. Parking P5k should be about $86 USD. AA BBQ is just down the road about a 10 minute drive. It’s pretty decent and great service. Outdoor dining though unless you’re having an event in one of their rooms.

But in my field of work that ive done for a few decades ive been programmed to be over observant of people, places and behaviors(sad skill but saved my life to many times than i can count lol) but your male guess with the shaded glasses was constantly stairing to his left while u was clearly on his right side. Was he uncomfortable with your beautiful woman that is always with you. Jus stating what i observed you will see the same also when re-watching the video. Great rental review tho as always.

You can see very quickly that the condition is only average. The mattress does not invite you to linger, brrrrr Therefore, it is a totally too high asking price. And all because of the video analysis. Thanks for the tour. Perhaps a place to invest and then negotiate strongly, on the spot of course. But then you must really like the surroundings, including the roosters - right?

Renting just throws away your money and enriches your landlord. If you are married to a pinay, you are better off buying a HOUSE, never a condo.

  • @TooMuchTimeonmyHands65

That depends on how good you are at investing money. I make a GREAT living selling weekly stock options. I am currently considering 3000 M2 on Siquijor @ 3000 PHP. The land would cost 9 million PHP. If I built a home, it probably be 9-12 million PHP. That’s a minimum of $306,000 USD. On a crappy week, I make 1%on my money. $306,000x.01= $3,060….x52 weeks=$159,120…subtract 30% for short term capital gains taxes=$111,384….divide by 12 months=$9,282 USD/month. My rent for my 2 BR 2 BATH beachfront home is 30K PHP. With today’s conversion of 58.5 PHP/USD that is $513 USD/month. I am making $9K/month MINIMUM and just have to subtract $513 giving me a profit of over $8K/month IS A NO BRAINER!!!!!!!!!! I can always move if I don’t like my situation….YOU are stuck in a house, that you don’t even own the land!!!! Like I said, if you suck at money management, and want to reduce your expenses to make your social security payment last….go ahead. I choose to use the money to make money….my good friends, who have the channel “Rose in the Philippines” went that route and are very happy with the decision. The difference between Tim and most expats is Tim is worth $5 million
