If a horse kicked me in the chest with 1 leg id be sent flying with almost all my ribs broken and several punctures in my lungs from the ribs

That looked like he got it liver punched and I'm sure it hurt like hell, but when he saw the guy coming in to finish him off course, he swung to protect himself. You can see how he slinked away after knocking him down that he was still in pain.
