  Thank you for this, Chris. A few weeks ago I bought a book called “30 Days to Taming Your Tongue. I have areas I need to work on and finally decided to intentionally tackle it. A big concern for many Christians (Google it!) is when “prayer requests” turn into long-winded venting and gossip sessions, using names. Just like the example you gave, hearing those “prayer requests” feels like swallowing a lot of salt water. We can’t do this on our own; help us, Holy Spirit, to tame our tongues.
