  This was the most bullshit boss fight in the entire DLC to do solo. I spent over 3 hours before giving up and just using a katana bleed build. Seriously this is such a joke. Some of them have 15k HP and heal. Hornsent’s nuke also one shots you even at 20 blessings!!!!! This is unironically the worst boss fight to do solo. I was having fun in the dlc until this shit, I will never complain about the DS2 gank squad fight because this is 1000x worse

  Yep, especially since it basically punishes you for engaging with the story. You only get the Freyja fight if you finish her storyline (give her the scroll from Ansbach), the nice dialogue option to Moore also makes him an enemy etc. Good gank fights are where the aggro is controlled and they're fairly squishy (or easy to shut down with parries.) ala Shadows of Yharnam from Bloodborne, this one is just ass.

  @@YakuzaGoon seriously when you do 5 fight they have more health than Radahn and they can heal!!! This is the worst boss fight in any fromsoft game to do solo I’m 100% serious. Next time I do the dlc I’m going to make sure it just becomes a 1v2.

  I used this same build but with the great katana. Also not using scadutree fragments. Can't kill moore though. What are your stats?

  60 vigor, 54 strength (and 2 handing the weapon so it's equivalent to 80 or so), 40ish endurance in terms of the stats that matter. No fragments sounds tough since they all summon in pretty quick, but if you can burst down the first two the last 3 should be doable. I'd recommend doing Moore last since he's the slowest one, and killing the faster ones like Dane and Leda first so you can very patienty wear him down, especially if your damage is fairly low.   The 1v5 version is tough, you need to be able to quickly stunlock and kill the first two before the others start spawning in - I'd recommend the sword lance + repeating thrust setup I used here. When you have the other 3 spawn in, you sprint away, wait for 1 straggler (if it's multiple don't bother attacking since you'll get hit for sure.) to come to you, and just before they're in melee range use your ash of war to stunlock them then roll back and repeat this.

  Ye, it's definitely still doable without repeating thrust, although without the stunlocks and big burst damage at the start, the other NPCs will summon in fast, so you're getting chased by 5 enemies (and 4 of them have ranged attacks.) instead of 3 after you kill Freyja + Hornsent - probably worth using a weapon with sweeping attacks and good stance damage in that case.

  No such thing as cheese in this rigged ass fight. They have infinite stamina, infinite throwables, and every one of them does a shit ton of damage

  ​@@ShhImANightmare Haha true, a no ash of war / no status / no buff fight would indeed be more mechanically skillfull. Although it's mostly an exercise in tedium without it, for an encounter that isn't especially fun. I think the major challenge runners like Lil aggy/dist2 have runs with the Leda fight like that with just running away and R1ing with a weapon with decent stagger when they get close then running away again, takes quite a bit longer. The Radahn fight was more fun, so I fought him with just dodge and R1.

  Haha thanks, I was about to summon for that fight until I saw footage like yours of other people winning the 1v5 version of this solo.
