    Tbh, many people hate the Gladius, but.... outside of perhaps the headlight I think it's a very good looking bike. I might prefer the latest SV650 sliiiiightly over it, but honestly I don't see how people dogged on this bike when it came out... It's sleek, slightly curvy and stylish. And I'll be honest: this one in particular looks really good to me.

    Agree, it’s definitely not for everyone but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a fun and somewhat unique bike!

    What did you do with the Trans Cooler lines? Pinch them off? Cap them? If you didn't, how much trans fluid did you lose after you removed them?

    Nice detail given the instructions come with no descriptive wording, only drawings. I could not find any information about the alignment pins anywhere else. A couple notes: I was able to remove the grommets from the door frame with my fingers - no tool required. They are somewhat flexible so once you pry one side up, keep pushing until it releases. The other note is that the orientation of the slot the key goes in needs to be such that the key goes in from the bottom. If the slot is upside down, you reach a point where you can no longer insert the key to tighten or loosen the rack. I think my rack had all mounting ends fully released allowing that piece on one mounting leg to rotate.

    I find it funny that a lot of people say be careful of using these tools and accessories because they are cheap Chinese crap but they are forgetting that the stuff they buy from Amazon, Walmart, Target and 98% of everything everything else we buy is from China.

    PRO TIP: they sell plastic clamps at Harbor Freight and online that are specifically for clamping down line with fluid. They are basically like vise grips, except they fully are plastic (so they are less likely to tear rubber hoses) and the jaws are flat to fully seal the hose together when you ratchet them tight. I use a couple of these when changing out cooling or fueling components and usually don't lose hardly any fluid

    I just learned about the existence of these toolboxes today and I found your video. My daughter thinks she needs one of these in pink for her crafting supplies. I like your handle, latch, and the wire you added to keep the lid from opening the whole way. I see I'm going to have some DIY fun as part of the setup of her toolbox.

  • @Damiansgarage

    I ended up giving this one to my mom for her sawing stuff it works great for that. The only issue with the pink one is that it’s usually always sold out at the store and you would have to buy it from a reseller at a marked up price.

    Question: I am looking to purchase a roof rack for my 2016 Prius. What brand is this one? I haven't finished the video, but based on different reviews on low noise, I wanted to purchase a Yakima or Thule. What brand is this one? Thank you!!! Also, How do you know how long the bars need to be when you're shopping?

    I would be very cautious of using those fuses for anything - or anything cheap chinese crap related to any kind of safety. Louis Rossmann recently released a video where he tested top ranked Amazon fuses, and none of them worked properly. A 2 amp fused only blew at 10 amps. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dG1kwbWHfsXJn7g.html

  • @Damiansgarage
    @Damiansgarage6 ай бұрын

    Yea I don’t know how I feel about those fuses either, but then, on the other hand, all the fuses you buy at automotive stores, or the retail stores are also most likely all made in China.

  • @Catrik
    @Catrik6 ай бұрын

    @@Damiansgarage The "Made in china"- part of the "cheap chinese crap" doesnt mean it's dangerous. When a retail store imports something for selling, they are liable, if a house or a car burns down. They also have a reputation they want to hold. So they are incentivized to research and make sure what they are selling are, if not high quality, at least safe to use. But you dont have this when you go to some random ebay/amazon/aliexpress seller with no datasheets, certifications or anything to indicate if the product is safe, or are they just trying to scam you out of your money, $1,99 at a time.

    You think it's possible to replace the rails with like actual drawer rails? The stock ones kinda suck.

  • @Damiansgarage
    @Damiansgarage7 ай бұрын

    It would be a pain in the butt to do it but it isn’t possible the biggest problem I believe would be finding such a short sliders

  • @aAbstractduck
    @aAbstractduck7 ай бұрын

    You would need to find a slide that is about 5 inches in length (when folded) and overall thickness being less than 7mm (the gap you have on each side of the drawers) Amazon does appear to sell 5 inch slides but im not confident they will work perfectly. Perhaps you'd either have to contact a company or someone else to custom make you a set. Maybe possible to 3d print rails and get the bearing part somewhere else but im not sure the strength and durability will be any better. With that said you can try lubricating the existing slides with lithium grease. If that doesnt work you will have to remove the drawers and file down any burrs/ sharp edges present on the friction slides

  • @d2cuadrados510
    @d2cuadrados5107 ай бұрын

    @@aAbstractduck Yeah you're right, I'd probably need low profile slides. I'll look online to see if I can find some. In the meantime I'll try lubricating the slides with some grease. Thanks for the tip, friend!

  • @aAbstractduck
    @aAbstractduck6 ай бұрын

    @@d2cuadrados510 if you find anything let me know! Quick tip on removing the drawers without causing any damage if you need to: Take a long, thin piece of metal. Put a slight bend on one side (about an inch from the end) insert it between the drawer so that it goes around the little tab preventing the drawer from coming out and then give it a pull, preferably you have one on each side. It should pop right out. I used two 0.013" feeler gages but im sure something like a hacksaw blade would also work!
