I tried this many times after seeing multiple people do it, but I just can't get the c4 placed right? Or smth else? I do little dmg whether it's laying on top or variable heights above >.< Meanwhile I've seen people do it with 1 c4 instead of 2

Nah, you don't even need to do that. You can run through the bottom, place a c4 a bit above the tip of the caretaker, and cheese it that way. Just have an area made for all the resups

Driller is the best class for sabo yeah, 22132 fuel stream disruption on crispr 21222 peristent plasma on plasma charger 3123 for c4 ^ The above build allows you to walk though turrets while holding m1, rush hacking pods, deal with bots and shreaders without issue, and lets you solo the fight with c4ing the vents, igniting the arms, and using thin contsinment feild against the eye

Yes, it’s a pretty good cheese. Quite soft, not too chewy, yet very firm over the edges. Although *sniffx3* it smells like fried circuits and burnt plastic for whatever reason. But, *lip smack* the hint of *smacks lips again* very fresh granite in its taste more than makes up for the peculiar smell. 8/10. Hopin’ management puts it on the menu.

I should mention something: -If playing on Haz 4 or harder *and* with 4 people, the C4 must be specced for all damage, which means only carrying 2. -You do not necessarily have to do this from above the Caretaker, you may also do it from below if you throw it high enough. Dash can help you get in and out. -If taking only one extra damage upgrade instead of 2, the C4 won't quite kill the vents, but it will be very close.

For the record fatboy works almost as well as the c4 for destroying the vents but the engineer doesn't have as many options as the driller for destroying the bots and dealing with the hacks. as long as the driller uses his flamethrower he will be the best for this mission

My preferred engie primary is Lok-1 with explosive rounds and the electro generator and rounds mods. Bots don't like the shock status and its usually simple to get a 3 lock and aim up a bit to curve the shots into a patrol bots head, also great for caretaker arms as the Lok-1 locks on to their weakpoint naturally. Its honestly a toss up if I take fat boy or hyper propellant on sabotage since I can handle either the vents or eyes with the Lok-1 and let the PGL handle the other. Lok-1 with explosive rounds is also great on swarm control for hack defenses

funny trick you can do is if you have a team doing the eye killing phase. you can just lob HE grenades above down the middle and it'll drop through the caretaker to deal damage to it. it's a nice combo aiding the team while not having to worry about going up and down the hole between phases

engi can do this too but with plasma burster - solo haz 5 you just need 3 grenades to the top to break all weakspots - just stand on one of the openings where normally a tentacle comes out of, throw 3 plasma burster and then nuke the eye with 2-3 hyperprops to complete an entire phase in under a minute. with 1 resupply you can do the entire caretaker in 2-3 min The people dont like this mission because in a 4 man haz 5 this strat is way less effective, the weakspots & eye have twice as much HP

Current sabotage missions are shorter, they changed the cave generation and both power stations are now closer to caretaker unlike before where you had to travel much longer distance to do them.

The way that hitboxes can't be relied on made this hard to understand until actually seeing it in practice, when you might have tried it before and it didn't work you might've just somehow did it wrong like me

I recommend picking up the backup batteries after you disable them, as they do about the same damage to the caretaker. Good if you're engi.

Not sure about this when not solo, but Fat Boy can also 2 shot the vents (& I think engi is generally better at dealing with the caretaker)

everybody has better chances than driller against the caretaker. all of his primaries are AoE/status effect based weapons, and none of those affect the caretaker

Alternatively you can get a gunner to shoot you a zip line above it, or a engy to platform. Either way still gonna want to make a little room up there

Your C4 build causes the resupply to round down and only give 1 charge each resup for whatever reason. What this means is per +50% resupply, you can deal 625 damage, but if we use the extra ammo, we do 375 x 2 damage which equals 750 damage, meaning, if you want good damage along with added flexibility, go with extra ammo since the carried amount is 4, meaning you get 2 per +50% resupply instead of 1. If you want max damage, very specialised for Sabotage, do the build (3/1/2/3). This makes the damage 875, which is even better per resupply than full ammo. I much prefer full ammo because it allows for flexibility, along with "Rock Mover" in tier 4, it allows for a decent offensive ability and an amazing defensive ability as well. So, in short, the build (2/1/1/3) allows for flexibility, and the build (3/1/2/3) for a more specialised use.

Yep, you basically have to choose between full ammo or full damage. I prefer the latter as it can take down dreads faster, only having to get up close to them half as many times, but either config is viable. Shame resupplies don't keep track of your half-ammo; I might take the middle-ground config otherwise.

How fast do you complete the entire misson?

It took me around 20 min in solo… But most of that time was expended searching for nitra and connecting the hacking devises… If I had a teammate that could help me out in those task the mission would have take around 13-16 min

I feel like poeple forget the fact that the engineer can do it more efficiently by just going full ammo fat boy and just nuking the head, each resupply gives you 3 warheads back which is enough even in 4p haz5 while also helping in clearing shredders. You dont even need to take the blast radius upgrade.
