  hi, thanks for the comments, rear diff Citroen Gs box cut down, transfer box Suzuki Jimny, front struts now home made to fit under the bonnet. only tested a little , Brexshit has made taking a car on a trailer very uncertain:(. see my you tube for other videos cheers Peter

  We did this trip in January 2001 in 4 Landrovers and it should have been fun but for one guy. We were sleeping in the vehicle's too and one night on the northern Russian/Finnish border it was -35c. Thanks for sharing and good memories for me.

  I'm not a machining expert. I don't even own a Chinese mini lathe. In my poorly qualified opinion, I'm going to go out on a limb and say - you're machining a bore with that boring bar. Edit: "you're machine" to "you're machining"

  I remember driving a Visa (not a 2CV of course, but same motor) at - 20 C. It needed 20 km on the motorway at 100 - 120 km/h to get it warm inside.

  Depends on the size of the hole, small hole high rpm, large hole much slower, just try it out for yourself, hope this helps
